The contest is designed so that you start with $1000. Once you go below $1000 you are out of the contest. The winner is the first one to $15,000.
Here are the rules:
1. Start on Sunday, May 14, 2006. Runs until there is a winner or everyone is broke (which ever comes first).
2. No restriction on betting the amount, number or type of games.
3. Once your dollar amount is -$1000 you are finished.
4. First one to $15,000 is the winner. If it happens sooner than later we can always start a new contest.
5. You cannot bet with money you do not have...if you are at -$500 you can not bet more than $500. Likewise to start you cannot bet more $1000. You can bet each day up to the amount that you have. Spend it wisely. I will monitor the contest. If someone violates this rule you are disqualified. Since you start at $0 you amount available to bet is always $1000 in addition to your amount shown by your name.
6. Each Sunday I will post the standings in the Baseball forum on Covers and a list of people who have been bankrupt/disqualified.
Please remeber Rule #5 YOU CANNOT BET WITH MONEY YOU DO NOT HAVE. This means that the money you have is always $1000 more than your wagerline amount. We all start with $0 so that means we all have $0 +$1000 or in the case of being broke its -$1000 + $1000 = 0. That also means that if your dollar amount is $2300 you actually have $3300 in which to bet with.
