...but the FDA isn't politicized as much as it's just controlled by the drug companies. You're talking about a very underfunded agency. The drug companies are footing the bill and, you know... The hand that rocks the cradle. Those same drug companies are one of the tentacles that controls politics as well so it seems like the FDA''s moves are all part of some political agenda when actually the FDA's moves, and the political moves, are all part of a financial agenda.

Yeah, though, the FDA is f*cked. Most doctors are fucked. It has blown up in their face with the opioid crisis but basically on the one hand you'd have the drug companies paying for their own testing, because again, the FDA is super underfunded. And they do rush testing because the want to get this stuff out and maximize their earnings potential before the thing goes generic. This is how stuff makes it out only to be recalled 6 months later and you ask yourself, "How did that poison even make it through trials?" Then the drug companies pay doctors to pump the new drug, even if their is something proven that does just fine treating whatever ailment. That's not all though. As I mentioned before, everybody thinks they're a doctor. So people watch a commercial, see some new drug, then go to their doctor and say, "I want this." And even if their doctor is like, Yo, maybe you should stick with taking blah, blah, blah." their patients are defiantly say, "If you won't write it, I'll find a doc who will." This is the confluence of circumstances that led to their being millions of oxy scripts floating around. And it was exploited  I sold Oxy 16 or 17, 18 years ago. Initially all my supply came from "legit" patients with scripts.

The whole system is f*cked. For example, do you know by law the only thing that can treat or cure an ailment is a drug. So if you have some herbal supplement that you find cures cancer, you can't market it as a legit cancer treatment because the FDA won't even test it, they are so in the pocket of the drug companies. That's why when you buy supplements, they also say, "Not tested by the FDA." or something to that effect. I read a few books about all of this stuff so I'll go on and on. The drug companies are f*cked.

Aaron Rodgers speaks up! Aaron Rodgers says players are being treated for the virus just like he was! The treatment is an ivermectin protocol. Much better for you than having an icu use remdesivir. The remdesivir causes your lungs to fill up with fluids and shuts down your organs so the medical industry can immediately put you on a ventilator. Good luck surviving that! 30 tabs for $77. The link to take care of yourself and your family with an order of ivermectin is inside this thread.

From Rodgers: “If science can’t be questioned it’s not science, it’s propaganda.”

Alex Jones took the quote 1 step further. “If science can’t be questioned it’s not science, it’s tyranny!”

Pat McAfee on Twitter: ""If science can't be questioned it's not science anymore it's propaganda & that's the truth" ~@AaronRodgers12 #PatMcAfeeShowLIVE https://t.co/8PHGdTgYmc" / Twitter

Just in case somebody needs the proper dosage for ivermectin. Here it is. Let's hope nobody needs to use it.

The link below is great information regarding ivermectin. Every household in the United States should be well stocked with ivermectin. Much safer for use than the mRNA gene therapy shot disguised as a 'vaccine.' This will keep you from receiving the 2nd booster! Enjoy the read!

Wallstreet journal reports that largest study yet shows Ivermectin fails to reduce covid hospitalizations.  In peer reviewed study from McMaster university, patients who received Ivermectin fare no better than patients who received placebo.  However anti-vaxxers tout useless Ivermectin as an alternative to safe and effective vaccines.  Food drug administration rejects Ivermectin as covid treatment but approves booster vaccines for seniors.

Maybe the 3 days was not enough of a complete cycle or it was not administered early enough.  The studies with 5 days have different data, etc.

Background: Repurposed medicines may have a role against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The antiparasitic ivermectin, with antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties, has now been tested in numerous clinical trials.

Areas of uncertainty: We assessed the efficacy of ivermectin treatment in reducing mortality, in secondary outcomes, and in chemoprophylaxis, among people with, or at high risk of, COVID-19 infection.

Data sources: We searched bibliographic databases up to April 25, 2021. Two review authors sifted for studies, extracted data, and assessed risk of bias. Meta-analyses were conducted and certainty of the evidence was assessed using the GRADE approach and additionally in trial sequential analyses for mortality. Twenty-four randomized controlled trials involving 3406 participants met review inclusion.

Therapeutic advances: Meta-analysis of 15 trials found that ivermectin reduced risk of death compared with no ivermectin (average risk ratio 0.38, 95% confidence interval 0.19-0.73; n = 2438; I2 = 49%; moderate-certainty evidence). This result was confirmed in a trial sequential analysis using the same DerSimonian-Laird method that underpinned the unadjusted analysis. This was also robust against a trial sequential analysis using the Biggerstaff-Tweedie method. Low-certainty evidence found that ivermectin prophylaxis reduced COVID-19 infection by an average 86% (95% confidence interval 79%-91%). Secondary outcomes provided less certain evidence. Low-certainty evidence suggested that there may be no benefit with ivermectin for "need for mechanical ventilation," whereas effect estimates for "improvement" and "deterioration" clearly favored ivermectin use. Severe adverse events were rare among treatment trials and evidence of no difference was assessed as low certainty. Evidence on other secondary outcomes was very low certainty.

Conclusions: Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.

Background: Ivermectin has demonstrated different mechanisms of action that potentially protect from both coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection and COVID-19-related comorbidities. Based on the studies suggesting efficacy in prophylaxis combined with the known safety profile of ivermectin, a citywide prevention program using ivermectin for COVID-19 was implemented in Itajaí, a southern city in Brazil in the state of Santa Catarina. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of regular ivermectin use on subsequent COVID-19 infection and mortality rates.

Materials and methods: We analyzed data from a prospective, observational study of the citywide COVID-19 prevention with ivermectin program, which was conducted between July 2020 and December 2020 in Itajaí, Brazil. Study design, institutional review board approval, and analysis of registry data occurred after completion of the program. The program consisted of inviting the entire population of Itajaí to a medical visit to enroll in the program and to compile baseline, personal, demographic, and medical information. In the absence of contraindications, ivermectin was offered as an optional treatment to be taken for two consecutive days every 15 days at a dose of 0.2 mg/kg/day. In cases where a participating citizen of Itajaí became ill with COVID-19, they were recommended not to use ivermectin or any other medication in early outpatient treatment. Clinical outcomes of infection, hospitalization, and death were automatically reported and entered into the registry in real time. Study analysis consisted of comparing ivermectin users with non-users using cohorts of infected patients propensity score-matched by age, sex, and comorbidities. COVID-19 infection and mortality rates were analyzed with and without the use of propensity score matching (PSM).

Results: Of the 223,128 citizens of Itajaí considered for the study, a total of 159,561 subjects were included in the analysis: 113,845 (71.3%) regular ivermectin users and 45,716 (23.3%) non-users. Of these, 4,311 ivermectin users were infected, among which 4,197 were from the city of Itajaí (3.7% infection rate), and 3,034 non-users (from Itajaí) were infected (6.6% infection rate), with a 44% reduction in COVID-19 infection rate (risk ratio [RR], 0.56; 95% confidence interval (95% CI), 0.53-0.58; p < 0.0001). Using PSM, two cohorts of 3,034 subjects suffering from COVID-19 infection were compared. The regular use of ivermectin led to a 68% reduction in COVID-19 mortality (25 [0.8%] versus 79 [2.6%] among ivermectin non-users; RR, 0.32; 95% CI, 0.20-0.49; p < 0.0001). When adjusted for residual variables, reduction in mortality rate was 70% (RR, 0.30; 95% CI, 0.19-0.46; p < 0.0001). There was a 56% reduction in hospitalization rate (44 versus 99 hospitalizations among ivermectin users and non-users, respectively; RR, 0.44; 95% CI, 0.31-0.63; p < 0.0001). After adjustment for residual variables, reduction in hospitalization rate was 67% (RR, 0.33; 95% CI, 023-0.66; p < 0.0001).

Conclusion: In this large PSM study, regular use of ivermectin as a prophylactic agent was associated with significantly reduced COVID-19 infection, hospitalization, and mortality rates.

    Excerpts from this article:

To evaluate the difference in mortality of patients treated with ivermectin vs patients treated with remdesivir with COVID-19 in United States using TriNetX Research network, a federated EMR network of over 44 healthcare organizations and 68 million patients from US, from 2009-2021.

We retrospectively identified adults (=18 years) with a recorded COVID-19 infection between January 1, 2020 and July 11, 2021. We compared those with recorded use of ivermectin, but not remdesivir, against those with recorded use of remdesivir, but not ivermectin.

There were a total of 1,761,060 possible COVID-19 patients based on ICD-10 diagnostic terms and confirmatory lab results. Prior to controlling, our analysis yielded 41,608 patients who had COVID-19 resulting in two unique cohorts that were treated with either ivermectin (1,072) or remdesivir (40,536).

    Conclusion

Ivermectin use was associated with decreased mortality in patients with COVID-19 compared to remdesivir. ivermectin was associated with reduced mortality vs. remdesivir (OR 0.308, 95% CI (0.198,0.479)), Risk Difference -5.224%, CI (-7.079%,-3.369%), p <0.0001.

[Translated into layman’s language:  “Using ivermectin, mortality was reduced by 70% in the ivermectin group (vs. remdesivir) with a chance of 1 in 10,000,000 of its having happened by chance.”]

To our knowledge, this is the largest association study of patients with COVID-19, mortality and ivermectin.

This was one of the original 2020 studies that prompted the others:

A five-day course of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 may reduce the duration of illness

Ivermectin, a US Food and Drug Administration-approved anti-parasitic agent, was found to inhibit severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) replication in vitro. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted to determine the rapidity of viral clearance and safety of ivermectin among adult SARS-CoV-2 patients. The trial included 72 hospitalized patients in Dhaka, Bangladesh, who were assigned to one of three groups: oral ivermectin alone (12 mg once daily for 5 days), oral ivermectin in combination with doxycycline (12 mg ivermectin single dose and 200 mg doxycycline on day 1, followed by 100 mg every 12 h for the next 4 days), and a placebo control group. Clinical symptoms of fever, cough, and sore throat were comparable among the three groups. Virological clearance was earlier in the 5-day ivermectin treatment arm when compared to the placebo group (9.7 days vs 12.7 days; p = 0.02), but this was not the case for the ivermectin + doxycycline arm (11.5 days; p = 0.27). There were no severe adverse drug events recorded in the study. A 5-day course of ivermectin was found to be safe and effective in treating adult patients with mild COVID-19. Larger trials will be needed to confirm these preliminary findings.

Which is why the other studies I listed used RCTs, placebos, etc.:  A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted to determine the rapidity of viral clearance and safety of ivermectin among adult SARS-CoV-2 patients.

Worldwide, there are many ivermectin studies with mixed results.  Some low quality studies have failed to meet scientific standards for strong evidence.  Much misinformation comes from overseas labs sharing questionable research.  Reviews of dozens of studies by Cochrane library (the gold standard in medical research) concludes ivermectin shouldn't be used for covid treatment outside of clinical trials.  World health organization and European medicine agency also rejects Ivermectin.  No medical authority in the US  recommends Ivermectin for covid treatment.

and still has to b peer reviewed even if randomized controlled trials r present

Latest peer-reviewed research: Immediate global ivermectin use will end COVID-19 pandemic

Peer reviewed by medical experts that included three U.S. government senior scientists and published in the American Journal of Therapeutics, the research is the most comprehensive review of the available data taken from clinical, in vitro, animal, and real-world studies. Led by the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), a group of medical and scientific experts reviewed published peer-reviewed studies, manuscripts, expert meta-analyses, and epidemiological analyses of regions with ivermectin distribution efforts all showing that ivermectin is an effective prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19.

“We did the work that the medical authorities failed to do, we conducted the most comprehensive review of the available data on ivermectin,” said Pierre Kory, M.P.A., MD, president and chief medical officer of the FLCCC. “We applied the gold standard to qualify the data reviewed before concluding that ivermectin can end this pandemic.”

A focus of the manuscript was on the 27 controlled trials available in January 2021, 15 of which were randomized controlled trials (RCT’s), the preferred trial of the World Health Organization, U.S. National Institutes of Health, and the European Medicines Agency. Consistent with numerous meta-analyses of ivermectin RCT’s since published by expert panels from the UK, Italy, Spain, and Japan, they found large, statistically significant reduction in mortality, time to recovery and viral clearance in COVID-19 patients treated with ivermectin.

To evaluate the efficacy of ivermectin in preventing COVID-19, 3 RCT’s and 5 observational controlled trial’s including almost 2,500 patients all reported that ivermectin significantly reduces the risk of contracting COVID-19 when used regularly.

“Our latest research shows, once again, that when the totality of the evidence is examined, there is no doubt that ivermectin is highly effective as a safe prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19,” said Paul E. Marik, M.D., FCCM, FCCP, founding member of the FLCCC and Chief, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. “We can no longer rely on many of the larger health authorities to make an honest examination of the medical and scientific evidence. So, we are calling on regional public health authorities and medical professionals around the world to demand that ivermectin be included in their standard of care right away so we can end this pandemic once and for all.”

So, it is hard to know the correct science to follow sometimes.

But a peer-reviewed study of RCTs that show ivermectin to be effective if used early cannot be complete dismissed.  There are also others.

It cannot be dismissed when there are personal examples of this and other treatments that have been effective and doctors that have used these methods effectively as well.

Also, understandable when there is a big push for the vaccine.

So, hard to know sometimes.  But you cannot out-of-hand dismiss some of these peer-reviewed studies.
