John McCain’s son decries Trump appearance at Arlington as a ‘violation’ that turned cemetery into campaign backdrop

CNN —
When Trump held a campaign event at Arlington National Cemetery
last week, 1st Lt. Jimmy McCain says he viewed it as a “violation.”

The youngest son of the late Sen. John McCain
had already been moving away from the Republican Party
— just weeks ago, he changed his voter registration
to Democrat and plans to vote for Kamala Harris in November!  

*NOTE: Jimmy McCain will be interviewed on “The Lead with Jake Tapper” at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

“It just blows me away,” McCain, who has served
in the military for 17 years, told CNN.

“These men and women that are laying in the ground
there have no choice” of whether to be a backdrop
for a political campaign, he said.

in their uniform, they just understand that inherently

McCain’s decision to speak out now is part of his
broader shift away from the Republican Party and
his family’s famously conservative roots.
He registered as a Democrat several weeks ago
and plans to vote for Kamala Harris in November,
adding that he
“would get involved in any way I could” to help her campaign.

GOP presidential candidate and Arizona senator.

   Other members of the McCain family have distanced
themselves from Trump — including Jimmy McCain’s
mother Cindy, who endorsed then-candidate Joe Biden
in 2020, and his sister Meghan.

Dick Cheney put out a statement Friday confirming his endorsement, which read almost entirely as opposition to Trump rather than support of Harris.

      "In our nation’s 248-year history,
there has never been an individual who is a
greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,"
Dick Cheney said in a statement.

"He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence
 to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him!
He can never be trusted with power again!"

“As citizens, we each have a duty to put country
above partisanship  to defend our Constitution.
That is why I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris.”

Yahoo news reveal Sarah Palin is the only past republican presidential nominee to endorse Trump.  Those who reject him includes Romney, Cheney, Quarle, Pence and Bush.

Quite the lineup!  This too is unprecedented rejection in the annals of US history.

Either Taylor Swift or Brittany Mahomes, people are free to back and endorse a political candidate in a democratic society. However, people can not do as such under an autocratic regime. Trump as “a danger to our national security and our democracy.” , it's cited in the article of the Hill from ten former US military officials.    

She is not her color . She is not her sex . She is a person . Give the person that accomplishes something their due credit without having to imply that somehow the adjectives that you use to describe them makes their effort more amazing . What ? because she’s black it’s impossible to believe or something ? That she won the debate ? My sisters in this country are given the least amount of power or respect in regards to anyone living . Not cool . It’s because of things like you just stated or implied .

Majority of debate watchers say Harris took home the victory, poll finds

    An overwhelming majority of debate watchers 
said they thought Vice President Kamala Harris
outperformed former President Trump in
Tuesday night's debate, according to a CNN poll.

The survey respondents went into Tuesday night's
debate split, with 50% saying they expected Trump
to win and 50% saying they expected a Harris victory.

    By the end of the night, however, 63% said
  Harris came out on top, compared to 37% for Trump.

Broken down by candidate, 96% of Harris' supporters
said they thought she won, while only 69%
of Trump supporters said the former president won.

CNN's poll was conducted via text message,
surveying 605 registered voters who said
they watched Tuesday night's debate.

The poll advertises a margin of error of 5.3%.

while just 5 indicated they believed Trump won.

"He is still in his head basically trying to run against Joe Biden,"
one voter said.
