Very interesting read and so true. When I lived in Philly I was on the border of Kensington and NoLibs.
Out our front door to the left was Hispanic mostly Puerto Ricans. To the right was Hispanic Mexicans. Behind us for the 6 blocks to Temple University was Black. Finally on the was to the Piazza at Schmidts was a super large and very gated Muslim compound.
The point here is that while coexisting in daily life there was most certainly an element of isolation or "tribalism" as the article reads. To any observer the very thing "they" are demanding is never reciprocated by the groups "they" are demanding on behalf of.
Groups want to do their thing, just in a different place when theirs falls apart. Sort of the like NYC / North Jersey folks that move out here to the Poconos with their failed big city values.
Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding except climate change is a hoax. I guess you need to be a retired biologist like me to be able to figure that out. Not really, many that can critically think know this already.

@thirdperson
MAGA generally has a difference in what is accepted as credible information, with a significant portion of the movement relying on alternative sources and narratives that may dismiss official reports as ….Alternative facts! Hoax’s fake Witch Hunt & Made Up ! So odd?

I'd start by offering a middle ground that everything in 2025 has become arguable, in this case what is defined as credible.
For me an agency, journalist, reporter, youtuber, or podcaster's track record on breaking a story and/or presenting information later proven to be accurate either in part or as a whole.
Take politics out of it for a second and look at the UPS plane crash. What are we getting from main stream media = not much. From the NTSB = more but not enough (for good reason as they're investigating). Now look at sources like Vasaviation or Captain Steeeve and you'll find general reliable information.
So going back to politics you have the main streets (CNN, Fox, MSN, etc) who just rage bait viewership to sell ads and while they get stuff right here and there entertainment vs. reliable sources.
You have your partisans on both sides that sometimes get somethings right and largely parrot the flavor of the day / week / month
Then there are rarities out there like Alex Berenson on Covid or Glenn Greenwald who let the facts fall where they may.
But looking through recent events 2016 election, Jan 6, Trump Assassination attempt, Covid, Biden cognitive abilities, NJ summer of drones to name a few taking "official" reports as gospel is about as credible as finding uncollaborated or substantiated accounts to make or prove a point.
What remains clear is the right knows the left better than the left knows the right.

It was my understanding we were given very clear instructions to avoid eachother and my post to Joe has nothing to do with you or your post.
Additionally, your response to my explanation to Joe (whether accepted or not) does not to advance the conversation or provide anything other than a launch pad for deteriorating conversation.
Speaking to your edit, I fundamentally disagree as evidenced most recently by the categorical missteps leading to an embarrassing presidential election.
