When you make a dollar, its taxed we will say 30%, so ur left with 70%. You spend the .70 on a shirt at walmart. They tax walmart 30% of the .70! Now that original dollar is now down to about .48. Walmart gives the shirt man the .48 for more shirts. The shirt man's .48 is taxed 30%! Leaves shirt man .32. he buys more yarn for more shirts and so its taxed again until they get the whole dollar!!!! blows me away!
Call me stupid, dumb whatever but i never realized it.

More or less I agree with you. The spending power of our wages is severely crippled by not only our unjust income tax, but sales tax, property tax and all other forms of taxes to follow.
I enjoy having those things wood, We can do better. We do not need to steal 30% of our national income to pay for bailouts asinine federal salaries/pensions/benefits, and bureaucracy to tell us what we cant smoke or do with our free time.
1-4 could be funded without 30% of our taxes.

difference between Denmark and the other EU states is they at least GET something for their taxes. ex for Social Security and Medicade for seniors, I really don't see much the Fed provides with the taxes we pay. same with roads and other infrastructure. SOME fed money BUT it's still mainly the States. witness the sutdown of the tunnel project by Christy in New Jersey.
and DON'T bring up Police and Fire protection because that's a local or state function. you can say "National Defense" BUT we WAY overspend on that compared to the rest of the world including the Russians and ChiComs.

I considered moving when Obama took office and started the downturn of our country... however I thought it would be wise to finish graduate school first

If that were the case all of you Bush's fault fruitniks would have left by now
I thought Bush was the centerpiece of his horrible presidency obviously, but rumsfeld, wolfowitz, powell, cheney, etc.................... also had a say in those horrendous years.
I would never leave the greatest nation on the planet. But I also didn't bash george bush the way people do to obama on this forum. He's the President of the United States of America. He's our leader. I stand by whom ever the President is whether I like him or not. Of course I may disagree with specific polices but I wouldn't continuously call the president a "dumbass" or a socialist or what not the way richard and woop do and the rest of these so called conservatives......

Bush bashing was WAY worse than anything obama has encountered to date, with far less cause. Imagine the uproar if blamo were hung in effigy. He and you liberals just have thin skin. Paper thin. Two more days till a full repudiation of obama and liberal excess. Major spin coming from the mainstream on Tues.
