Known as the media pundit who reshaped the political landscape with his entertaining and informative brand of conservatism..

Rush Limbaugh Celebrates 25th Anniversary at Pinnacle of Talk Radio..

Premiere Networks, the number one audio network in the U.S., is proud to announce that today, August 1, marks the 25th anniversary of The Rush Limbaugh Show in national syndication.

Heard on nearly 600 stations by nearly 20 million people each week, it is the highest-rated national radio talk show in America..

Limbaugh also pioneered an entirely new model for Talk radio. Defying industry convention, he does not book guests on his program. Centered on the news of the day, he describes his unique approach as “a serious discussion of issues, combined with irreverent humor.”

To date, Two If By Tea™ has donated more than $1,000,000 to charitable causes including The Marine Corps – Law Enforcement Foundation..

Congratulations Rush for reaching this tremendous milestone and look forward to celebrating many more years of conservative American broadcasting..

not my cup of tea but you do have to give credit for anybody who has lasted twenty five years in a job where you can be easily replaced.

you have to put him in legend status along with Ted Kennedy, Howard Stern,  Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

anybody who can last at a job for decades deserves megga dittos

I use to listen to Michael Weiner a.k.a. Michael Savage occasionally, but that was before he begged and pleaded with Hillary Clinton to help him get unbanned from Englands terorist watch list..

Now,, to me he's just another Weiner.......

Because this was after he was bashing Hillary for years..saying stuff like :

“Hillary Clinton, the most Godless woman in the Senate.."   .

..and regarding one of Hillary Clinton’s speeches: “That’s rubbish. That's H-itler dialogue. Goebbels would be proud of you, Hillary Clinton. I know Mao Zedong would have been proud of you.”

Rush Limbaugh was not the 1st guy on radio to talk politics, but he has been the most influential.

Like Howard Stern & Joe Arpaio, many strive to be as relevant, respected & effective as them

In 1972, a Senior executive at ABC Radio told Rush Limbaugh, "If you want to stay in this business, you had better go into sales, because you just don’t have the talent. You’re never going make it’".

No wonder ABC is in the commode and going down hill fast .....they can't spot good talent ..e.g.Katie Couric now there's someone who should be in sales and not be a talk show host..or a news anchor ...

You really need to credit Rush for a style of radio that has changed the way a nation uses the radio....

it's also nice to see this thread without people name calling and making baseless accusations.

I think this is a tribute to Rush Limbaugh.

As much as anything else that even those that disagree with his ideology have to acknowledge his ability and greatness in the way he does his job

Meanwhile ..

In a major shakeup for the radio industry, Cumulus Media, the second-biggest broadcaster in the country, is planning to drop both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity from its stations at the end of the year, an industry source told POLITICO on Sunday.

Cumulus has decided that it will not renew its contracts with either host, the source said, a move that would remove the two most highly rated conservative talk personalities from more than 40 Cumulus channels in major markets.

Rush Limbaugh is not off the airwaves.. you just have to change the station on your radio .

Limbaugh will probably go to Cumulus's rival WOR.

WOR was purchased last year by Clear Channel, which owns Premiere Networks, which syndicates the Limbaugh..he he will make the same money or more,at the #1 broadcaster in the country and his 20 million listeners will follow..

I got into politics after the 1992 election. I couldn't believe people would vote for Clinton over Bush. I was in the national guard at the time and it was a year after Desert Storm. Everyone in the military loved Bush.

This was the time of Rush's ascension. He had already hit it big with syndication and moving to New York, but Clinton winning put him over the top.

I started listening to his radio show. I bought his book The Way Things Ought to be (at the time the biggest selling non-fiction book of all time) and See I Told You so.

He definitely had a hand in shaping my political beliefs.
