Yes, I was there to buy a semi-automatic handgun before Frau Feinstein and Barry take away my right to own one,  I also wanted to have a large selection and pay bottom dollar.  That is how I purchase goods.  How do you buy your goods?  Do you look for a merchandiser who has a scant inventory, and charges exorbitant fees for scarcity.

    Either way.

My point was that most media outlets and All gun grabbers claim that you can go to a gun show and get a firearm without a background check.

    this is an outright lie.

I know wall.  That wasn't the point.

I do not mind waiting, got to meet some very nice West Virginians that are Absolutely not voting for Joe Manchin (D) West Virginia's Senator from the 1st district.  Based on his comments after sandy hook on Morning Joe.
Lot of union guys, Lot of Democrats breaking with the party of this one.

Great sense of community when you meet people that share an interest.

I am sure it is the same with bowling or whatever .

I was just merely trying to point out to people that background checks happen at gun shows.
    Nothing more.
Kind of bitching a bit,  no big whoop.

The amount of ignorance and misinformation is astounding.
People actually think that you can go buy an automatic assault rifle. Or that an AR-15 has a high caliber round.

A lot of this is misinformation that is put out purposefully to keep people dumb and scared.

    Rick,

The Crossroads of the West Gun Show attracted thousands of firearms enthusiasts to Ontario Convention Center ( California) today. The crowd was so large that officials slowed entry to the show to a virtual crawl during the show's early hours to avoid overcrowding the venue.

Crossroads of the West typically attracts about 7,000 visitors during its Ontario appearances, show owner Bob Templeton said. He expects double that amount this weekend.

Everyone buying guns because they are scared of a full gun ban.  The problem is, they will be going door to door and just take the guns away.

So 99% of all firearms with an arbitrary open ended mandate for the ATF to ban whatever they want.

Feinstein is for an outright ban of personal firearms.

You can not debate or compromise with that. No matter how many tragedies people like her exploit.

If flash suppressors or pistol grips were outlawed how many people would be saved.

No, I have been to the national gun show at Dulles towncenter when I lived near DC.
I went out to get some .22 LR for my new Sig Saur Mosquito, and had to go to 3 shops, before I finally had to go to wal mart and get their last 2 boxes.  I hate shopping at wal mart, but when they get more bulk in I might buy them out.

12 Gauge isn't that hard to come by, but it is cheaper to buy in bulk anyway.

Right on.  I'm with you in regards to Walmart.  Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.  Had a ski trip planned for that weekend, but had to cancel for the show.  Looking like these shows will be outlawed sooner than later.

My sister drowned in a swimming pool when she was 4 and I was 8.5. Many more people die from water than guns in the USA. Should we ban water? Or swimming pools?

They cause way more grief than guns do here. I have two half brothers that were killed in a car accident too...you don't see me tryna ban cars.

Sorry to hear about your sister.

I think a great correlation with gun violence is the misuse of pharmaceutical drugs.  32 thousand deaths a year, 3times as many as gun deaths.

A pool is MORE dangerous than a firearm because it is a hazard regardless of intention.

A care is inherently more dangerous based on frequency of use, and the fact that there does not need to be malice to kill.

A gun can not kill someone without malice or negligence.

You are making the argument that guns make people kill, as if they are the catalyst for murder.  That is not the case.  They are a tool, which are already highly regulated.  If someone is already wanting to illegally kill someone, what would it matter to them to get an illegal weapon.

    You guys make no sense.

You are not going to get rid of the 375 million firearms that are currently in the country.  The only thing you can do is pass legislation to make sure that people who obey the laws can not protect themselves.

Again, you are the only one to mention"get rid of guns" .There is a lot of difference in "banning" and "confiscation". You nor anyone else will ever convince me that the general pop needs assault type weapons. Paranoia sux,Paranoia [?pær?'n??.?] is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. And don't piss off your Dr,HR2640, but I never heard your opinion on it. I don't believe I ever heard of 26 drownings in 10 minutes.

The term assault weapon is a red herring.  It is a nebulous term that essentially means nothing, and is being used to take away the right to own firearms.  A semi automatic is not an assault weapon.  A frigging pump action shotgun is not an assault weapon.  So let's go ahead and clear that up now.

I know that it seems like a good idea to ban scary looking rifles.  If I thought it would help I would change my buttstock, pistol grip and forward grip.  But I think any rational thinking human being understands that a buttstock, or grip cant kill someone.  It is a witch hunt, and people are being lied to to pass an agenda that has been on the table for decades.

How can you say that Feinstein, the brady campaign, and Eric holder do not want to get rid of guns.  Do you know who is writing this gun legislation?

There is a video of Feinstien admitting that if she thought that she could get the votes she would deny Americans the right to any gun rights?

The ultimate goal is a total confiscation and we are following the same step by step plan that europe and australia did that is why I hope that no further legislation is enacted.

I know for a fact that the letters and phone calls that poured into my senator's office after he said he was willing to talk about more regulation changed his tune pretty fast.
