you are going against your moto then. You are risking a lot of money, to gain a little money. I am actually in the investment business. you sir are not. and dont try to say that favorites are a safe investment because college football is not a safe investment. (Iowa losing to NU)

I build trading strategies and black boxes. I used to travel the country doing seminars teaching people to trade.
Not sure why you are so afraid of RISK. It only comes into play if you lose.
