check the prescription but i don't think you are supposed to take them without a few beers.  no charge for that medical advice.

Yes. Someone I know (but not my wife) got hooked for 2 years and took 6 months to fully get off. They prescribed this medicine for migraines.  (But it wasn't my wife.)

Seriously, be careful, Shrimp. The stuff is an opium derivative (aka heroin) If you get to the point that the oxy becomes more important than anything else...get strong and get help.

You're a good man.

Anything opitate is very addictive and is just all bad to be around.


I was prescribed Fentanyl for back pain  -  then used & abused for 3 years.


A couple posts ago I said depending on who is taking them  -  which really isn't true, and sorta foolish for me to post that.


Best thing to do, Shemp, is to NOT get any refills.  Just a heads up from a drug addict.


And Getty has had his feet soaked in this situation as well  -  when he types, I read, I listen.


Just be happy for the feedback, Big Man  -  shows your ugly mug is well liked.

I immediately regretted that post  -  post #61 (which may be above this one) is where I said that it was foolish for me to type that.


Addictive personalities + Doctor Signatures don't mesh well.  Refills are easy to manipulate.  Therefore, once this happens, the addicting process hits you like a ton of bricks without he/she even knowing. 


Finish the bottle and throw away if you are prescribed these drugs.

and before I overtake this Nomination thread with my preaching & sweet new avatar, I'd just like to say if you can drink & party responisbly, more power to you.  Honestly.   


I kind of get my high through words now a days @ Covers.com  -  and no this isn't an opening line for Mayor nominations.

  As good a guy as you seem to be Gil, you don't stand a fucking chance.  The incumbent's been bribing his constituents with booze and has seemed to get out of that funk and is picking a few winners for the PB Nation.  Not saying you couldn't do the same, but Poo looks like a show in to repeat as mayor.  BOL  Keep the faith.

Thank you all for the nominations. I promise that i would be the greatest Mayor for the Penalty Box. I would take this to new heights and achieve unprecedented success for us all. I would get Harry Teng from OMNI television to do a news coverage about the Penalty Box and make DVD's for everyone to cherish the memories. In the future, when we pass on and our grandchildren take over covers, a new era will look to those DVD's and see the greatness that the Penalty Box once was.

Nobody stands a chance in a debate with Seaweed Nation. The Giant has an estimated 376-0 record, most recent victory coming against Kelly_Slater, in covers debates. He has trained me well and i have taken notes from his expertise. A debate would basically be crowning Seaweed as a Mayor. Might as well skip the debate process
