    But.....

You forgot a couple of little but important tidbits. Such as:
It wasn't a contest, it was one game - which came down to the wire.....
I ACCEPTED the terms of the wager, and followed through with my "payment" when I lost.....
I didn't whine or cry or "call foul" halfway through the game.....
    AND

Now, let's see, which race-baiting, "extreme male hugging" fan, welcher does that sound like to you???

    1. Reminding Scal about a win makes me YOUR stalker.

    2.  Race-baiting is what YOU used to do here constantly until STU told you to knock it off....To which you replied " YES SIR "  and have been clinging to his nutsack ever since.

    3. Making shhit up when you know the " truth " won't cut it.

Ahhhhh, it's nice and cozy up here in Coldsnap's brain! Since it's not used for much else other than lurking and stalking, I've got plenty of room to spread out and relax. I'm thinking of putting in a pool table, maybe a kegerator, plenty of room for a huge sofa, recliners, flat-screen T.V., the whole "Man-Cave" works!!!!

And once again, because you're pretty thick and slow - much like your race-baiting BFF - so I'll keep this simple. If I love ALL races and nationalities, and want to see EVERYONE treated equally, how does that make me a race-baiter?
Anyways, I could see if I did something like maybe sign up here on Covers and create my alias as "Austin Rivers", because I think I'm being ironic or funny that I think the only reason he's in the NBA is because he's black and the coach's son - then maybe you might have a case of "race-baiting" against me. But who's stupid enough to do something like that????

BTW - Which full size classic arcade game do you suggest for my man-cave here? I'm thinking Donkey Kong.....

Donkey Kong is one of the toughest cabinet games that exists from that era (without a lot variety in levels). Great game but it gets old FAST. Still one of the purest video games there is in terms of challenge though.

There was a cheating scandal with the world record holder of Donkey Kong recently. The internet exposed him mightily:

Hey Coldsnap, my sweet stalker - I just noticed when you quoted me in post #226 that you erased just this part:

Now, go clean yourself up. I know you have to after reading this - next time, use some tissues.....
    Happy Mother's Day!!

Hey Coldsnap, my sweet stalker - I just noticed when you quoted me in post #226 that you erased just this part:

    Who has the over under on the number of IRS Tax Returns that list the following as 'occupation' on April 15, 2019 (US Tax Day);

    Professional Sports Gambler.

    You know it's coming!

Think about all the underemployed and those not included in the employment numbers. Think about those guys wanting to put together a roll.

10,000's of thousands are going to flood into that office, maybe even hundreds of thousands? I wouldn't go that high, but tens of thousands, yes.

I won't be one them! Hell no. Recently, I can't even watch the game I'm betting on. I have to DVR it, see the final and then see where I went right or wrong watching it later. Too much stress.

Anyhow I have a serious question:

I have several political futures in 2020 (yes, I have my money in there until 2020 so pipe down). Does anyone see these offshore sites leaving the market and/or shutting down? Example: Could 5Dimes shut down because of this? I have money in my account there and I'll leave it in for now obviously as nothing is up and running in the states for weeks months.

But would it be advisable to take my money out of the books and just deal with the betting domestically?

I figure the answer will be "No they have customers worldwide and it will be fine" but we are by far the biggest market and really, who is going to look to play online now? Hence, offshore books are in trouble? Just a thought.

Vanzack says the sites will be fine in the short-run but this will be bad for them in the long-run.

I think 5D is big enough to stay afloat until 2018 but in the semi-long-term, who knows. I've been wanting this since I was a kid and now that it's getting closer i'm apprehensive.

Didn’t like the answer from Stump and Scoo seems to brush it all off which I like. Vanzack is more cryptic.

I’m not getting consensus here and that’s fine: it’s 2020 I’m concerned with. I’m fine in the short term. Come to think of it books won’t be offering long term political props at all so I have no option BUT to bet it online!

Plus, what if all these lines at local state owned shops open at -120 or -125 on both sides as the standard! Don’t put it past Jersey who will set the tone and want a big piece of the pie given Christie and Lesniak are the ones who got this done!

Arent a new wave of American based online sportsbooks expected to eventually come to replace the offshores? I would guess each and every major vegas sportsbook would most likely develop their own online betting app which would be easily accessible by anyone in the states, no?

The current offshores/euro books will continue to service all non-US bettors as is.

That's the other thing. I don't play at 5D so much. I know you do. Do really think there's gonna be any state sanctioned casino or OTB that is gonna offer the amount of lines that 5D does? H3ll, they often have things on the board that even Vegas casinos don't offer.

Not necessarily. It's a state thing, not federal. So how do you prove Joe Bloe in Indiana isn't placing a bet on a site based in New Jersey. Do you only get to play in Casinos in whatever state you pay taxes in?

And what about the elephant in the room we've all been talking about, the juice? I don't want to pay -125 base. What about us that wager on ML predominant sports? Baseball. Tennis. A -160 is now -175? Maybe -180? Adam Silver wants his cut. All leagues are gonna have their hands out.

No way. 5 dimes lines beat everything I have ever seen.

Only matchbook had better and that was a marketplace of buying and selling lines so that doesn’t really count.

So for line value 5Dimes (unfortunately) is the far better choice.

Packers my fear is they make you register like you are in a poker tournament and then if you win you sign a tax form (for anything over $1,199 in winnings. That’s the threshold in the US).

That’s insane. I just want to place a bet and enjoy the game. Cash transactions. No forms or accounts much like sitting down at a poker table with chips. I hope that’s the case and they don’t require ID/accounts/signing forms through and through to enjoy a little sports betting.

horse racing and sports betting are 2 different animals.... one thing that keeps on popping up is with sports, in order to wager ID will be required so they can track and monitor.... they go mobile , its like a gps ..... this part is due to a "cut" that the leagues will get.... to make sure to keep its integrity...  add in states my have higher standard juice to offset the "cut", makes be believe even more offshore will be fine... as one who likes wagering sports....I like to get the best possible line and I do believe the offshore will offer in order to compete... taxes, imagine hitting a parlay and then getting paid half....  I rally don't
see a major problem... actually I think offshore will make it better for us.

Well Scoo if I go to Monmouth race track to place a bet on Memorial Day weekend I want to walk up to the window and deal with cash, just like the horses.

I’m VERY happy this was passed but I will be irritated if they make me create an account of any kind if I want to place a non-online bet.

if you have ever been to Vegas( recently ) and downloaded the MGM mobile app I imagine each state will come up with something similar to that that uses your GPS or whatever to determine if you are in fact in that state that its legal to wager.   I swear man, I saw so many dullards at at least 3-4 casinos with a sheet of paper waiting to place a bet when you have that option right in your friggin hand.  And they would wait for hours!

I'm old-fashioned. I like placing a bet with a person. I do enough betting from a device in my hand.
