    CC, you serious?

You really think Republicans are good with economics?

Man I don't.  Economics is straight math and Republican report cards are aweful as far as economics.  I guess it all boils down to whether or not we believe in Supply Side economics.

She doesnt "believe" in evolution (nothing to believe in, a sceintific fact) - she wants creationism to be taught in schools.

This is who you want as your possible president?

Vanzack it will get worse. Reporters are digging through her time as mayor right now.

First thing she did..wanted to sack the local librarian woman because she was did not want to apply to her plan about certain "books" being censored from the library collection.

Also the local police chief of the city, she sacked him too.. because he stood up to the local NRA.

Let me tell you this.. Sarah Palin is the VP pick that just keeps on giving... there are meat on thoose bones for weeks and weeks to come.

Before this is over and done with, she will be a hero with the religious right and a paria with all over voting blocks.

The stupid right wing religious fuckers might be happy now but they just do not realize that by forcing McCain into picking such a radical he has effectively lost the "Clinton " vote.. and even more important lost the "independent" vote.

Had they accepted a lieberman or ridge, they would still have gotten a pro life supporter on the top.. and McCain would have been able to attract the independents he so desperately needs.

    Shrimp-

For sure-----no mistake about it, I think McCain's economic policies are truly horrible.

That being stated, what is absolutely staggering is that Obama's are even worse than McCain's.

Obama knows that if he gets elected, he can blame everything bad that happens on what Bush/Cheney did for 8 years.  His socialistic utopia will cost the taxpayers literally an arm and a leg.  No, make that both arms and both legs.  McCain has more fiscal restraint than Obama, which means less of a tax burden.  I am taxed up to my eyeballs with all kinds of crap, and it's going to get worse with all the bailout packages of the last 13 months.  McCain's plan will cripple me, but Obama's plan will kill me.

Yes, I think McCain's economic policy is horrible, his economic policies are just "less horrible" than Obama's.

This is who you want as your possible president?

We kind of have that in Bush now, although he has never really pushed the Church and State issue outside of his Supreme Court choices (which realistically, is the only way Presidents can push this kind of social agenda).

My worry about Palin is that there appears to be no consideration to the opposing views on hot-button social issues. At least Bush has accepted other viewpoints.

Palin hates gambling and so does McCain.

The truth is that McCain is a square, and knows it, and Palin lost her ass betting on the Alaskan under 11 hockey tourney back a few years ago and then "found Jesus."

Yeah, Obama is good for gamblers.  Dude's from Chitown and is probably down on da Bears +9.5 vs Indy this Sunday.

Gambling is just the starting point.  We are lucky to be able to chew gum if we let these nutjobs back in.

Supreme Court will be next.  Couple of the Liberals over there are getting old.  Overturning Roe vs. Wade will numero uno on the agenda.

Funny enough, it is McCains campaign that are scrambling...

"In Alaska, the McCain campaign has tried to control the flow of information as liberal bloggers and the media mine her past. A team of public relations aides has settled into the state and asked Palin's friends and family to avoid speaking to the media. In a conference call with friends and local activists Monday, the campaign suggested that media requests be funneled through the campaign to make sure "we said supportive things," according to one participant."
