shows the hypocrisy of their "progressive" movement

-woman are fine for VP or any office....as long as they are liberal and are pro-choice

-inexperience is awful for palin.....but fine for obama

-teen pregnancy, condoms, sex courses are pushed in high schools through federal funds but Palin's daughter is pregnant at 17 and the world stops. the NYT runs 3 front page stories on it.

-mccain's pick for VP is as far away from washington as possible while the candidate for CHANGE picked a 35 year senate vet who lives in "chateau country" in delaware

its going to be fun to watch them self destruct in the next 60 days

Slim would be proud of that spin

Here is another clip of McCains spokesman being owned ..

It is priceless to see him not answering the question.

I am shocked that such a hardened old politician as McDill would have made such a seemingly ridiculous choice.

Why have more questions been asked about Bristol Palins sexual proclivity the last 3 days,  than asked about Obama's relationship(s) with a terrorist and a convicted felon the last 16 months

one is and one isn't. And the one that is shouldn't be an issue because the man in office was given a free pass. Precendence

Did McCain try and ban betting on college sports? And people here are touting him? Is this really a gambling site?

They will handle it the way they always handle losing.

Both these candidates are bad, in my opinion.

However, someone has to win, and I will vote McCain cause his economic policy isn't as bad as O'Bama's.

Unfortunately, I believe O'Bama will win, the economy will go at light speed staright to hell and not pass go, and God help us all if some fool tries to shoot him.

It could be so bad that peeps would wish for the good ol' days of Bush/Cheney.

As an FYI, Gov. Palin was very interested in book burning. I view some of our Repub posters as pretty moderate and cannot support this position. She is very much in the religious right section of the GOP.

McCain/Palin Jokes You Won't Be Hearing on Letterman

The McCain Jokes You Won’t Be Hearing on Letterman:

    1. John McCain turned 72 on Friday and apparently decided he deserved a really hot birthday present so he introduced his “Vice President” choice.

    2. John McCain said he had to talk to his wife Cindy before making a final choice for VP. Well, of course he did, the wife always has veto power on any threesome.

    3. Cindy McCain has to be careful. John has a history of dumping his current wife for beauty pageant contestants.

    4. John McCain says he won’t need an intern when he moves in to the Oval Office. He will simply rely on his Vice President.

    5. When John McCain takes office, he intends to be less formal than his predecessors. Instead of “Mr. President,” he’ll have his Vice President call him “Daddy.”

    6. John McCain has denied rumors that if he wins they will start referring to the White House as the Playboy Mansion. He said Hefner has three girlfriends and the Constitution limits him to only one Vice President.

    For KOAJ et al:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/03/us/politics/03wasilla.html?pagewanted=1&hp

As an aside, I despise this kind of attack politics. Until the Palin choice, I was very much on the fence. But I have not liked the direction the religious right has moved this country and pretty much everything about her seems beholden to that wing of the party.

I'm with you djbrow..... been "conservative" or at least "moderate" forever but this election has turned me into an absolute Liberal freak.

The right wing party and tactics is full of baloney and insults my intelligence.  I go to church but this evangelical stuff in our government has got to go.  It has no place in government.

Yeah, DJ, Palin and all that religious right crappola bothers me a lot, too.

I have nothing but disdain for that hypocrisy, as all it is is a powerful means of control.  Didn't Karl Marx call religion "the opiate of the masses?"  BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, I am more concerned with the economy's future than a bunch of radical religious zealots getting in my affairs, so I'd vote McCain if election were today and just hope Palin keeps her religious crap to herself.  I do think McCain's choosing Palin was done simply for election purposes rather than for her actual input on issues.

Both candidates are truly abominable, though.
