Betting my BMW on Baltimore money line (-195)

Car is paid off & book value is $11k….. I owe my guy $3k……bet  is $8k for clean title on X3 valued over $11K ……. So tonight I’ll either be up $5 or taking the bus to work - true story but bet there are better ones with guys on this forum.

Why would he take this bet?  If you’re betting the Ravens ML -195 to win $8K, then you’re risking $15,600.00.  If you’re currently down $3K, then you would / SHOULD owe him $18.6K if the Ravens lose.  

Why would he take a car with a BV of $11K to clear your figure? 

You negotiated a hell of a deal here. and your book is obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed.

 Not really worth explaining but I’m basically risking 8k (about 2k below blue book cause it’s used, has high miles & a couple dings….. there is no $$ line involved - he cut me a break.  So if I loose, I still owe him 3 & he gets my car - if I win, I’m up $5k….. comprende now ??

Well, Baltimore ML is a good bet, but it IS in Pittsburgh, at night with everything on the line. You have Aaron Rogers on one side, and (hopefully) a banged up Lamar on the other. IF, they can get King Henry running wild, everything opens up. I'm on the ML as well, but not confident or desperate enough to bet more than 2 units, but I don't owe anyone either. Best of luck.

 Ok.  You didn’t originally specify that if you lose the Ravens bet, that you would owe him the vehicle AND your current figure of <$3K>.  This deal still works in your favor given the Ravens ML is -195.
