Approaching the 2010 Winter Olympics in VC. Favorite events?

I'm actually going for the first time to see the events. I've been invited for years but passed to avoid downhill competition. Actually they pretty much always knew it was too emotional for me to even look at the downhill/slalom/GS course just being groomed and cut....(I know).

Dunno how I'll hold up watching even the trials in skiing but it will be a gigantic hurdle for me to just be there. Hockey will be pretty exciting for sure.

Fuggin laugh when the kids break the gate and shit on the 1st pin. You ski racers know the lingo. Not USA of course. I'll be chirping to those guys to get that break dead straight.

This is a little of topic, but back in '96 i tried to get tickets for the whitewater events + they charged my credit card + i was stoked. About five monts later they informed me that i did not have tickets after all + reimbursed me. Long story short, later i found out that this had happened to many, many people and they had used this money they held to draw interest to make money. I still enjoy watching many of the events, but i will never attend. They can go fuck themselves as far as i am concerned.   

vegasdennis...words can not describe how pissed i was...luckily i had already lined up a free place to stay, but imagine all the people that had booked reservations, etc

My Favorite Event of All Time!

Going skiing in a few weeks myself, hope I don't pull a Herminator.

Boring to watch, but a blast to play.  Was in a league in college and it was fantastic.

Love the skiing events.

Not at all Luck...I was sat down by a serious group of coaches an invited to train full blown Olympic Team at age 16 after having beaten all the competetion from Washington State to Colorado. Between downhill and slalom I was pretty sure I could beat anybody in the world.

Stupidly and sadly I chose football and college....ahhh hell with it. Divorced parents...you know the drill. We all can't look back.

This man however put the fear of god in me on a slalom course.
