 Boston had the easiest path in NBA history to win the championship. Jimmy Butler injured Terry Rosier injured Donovan Mitchell injured halliburton injured so they were rested and ready to go and Tatum is a All-Star but amongst other All-Stars. He's an average player. Kerr started him today and South Sudan is winning.

I agree Tatum is for some reason the most over-rated player in the league.

In no world is he an elite player, how these media personalities arrive at this is astounding to me.

His player efficiency  rating is only 22.3, that is a good solid player, nothing more.

His win shares per 48 minutes again do not in any way point to an elite player. .189 is his personal best, a very far cry from what elite players do at .220 and the very best players are over .250.

An elite PER is 24 or better and 27 would be the very best.

His vorp is again not elite at 4.7.

Tatum has not 1 single advanced metric which puts him in the elite player  level.

On top of these he has rarely done well in big moments in the playoffs mostly because he is not elite to begin with.
