When was the Las time a Team(Sabres)

came out of nowhere to go on a run(34-8)last 42 games and no one saw it coming.

Sabres will be a real threat to win the cup, solid team.

qb - Never know in the playoffs, but Sabres aren't there yet, would love to see them pull it off. Avs or Stars would beat them in 7 imo. MN is no cup team either, sorry Moose. 

I dont know about that. Had about the same record the year before. Did end on a 28-13 run to end the regular season but not near the same

The Hamburglar took the Sens on a 20-1 run around 2015, and they were dead in the water. But ya Swords are on incredible roll.

Funny story, during that Sens streak, I was on a call with a guy I was doing a project with. He was golfing with Gretzky and on speaker. He turns to him and says, this guy (me) is a Sens fan..are they gonna make the playoffs? Gretz says..”zero chance.” Goes to show you nobody knows nothin’

Im a Stars fan, my best friend lived next door to Grant Marshall, we built outdoor rinks and we played with Grant when he was growing up. Followed him his whole career, even took a few pics with him when he won the cup. Since then my friend has died, I lost the pictures, and all of our houses are gone, Rebuilt into semi detached homes + condos. Last I heard Grant and his parents moved to PEI from Ontario. My destiny was to be a Stars fan, despite growing up in Ontario.

Despite being a strong skater + goal scorer, best hockey I ever played was Provincial Jr B. It was tough to get drafted when I played in the early 80’s. There was a lot of hockey teams back then, I remember playing in summer cash leagues, and showing up as a ringer, lead the tourney in scoring collecting the cash + moving on to the next tournament. Those were the good ole days, Lol

Same owner controls the Bills & Sabres, Bills kick off next season in a brand new state of the art stadium, also signed we DJ Moore from the Bears. Both of these teams could be legit contenders this season. One thing is certain, Buffalo sports teams under new ownership are not pushover competition anymore.

1996 Redwings are the only modern team to have a better stretch. They were an insane 59-9-4ties to end the season
