Did the Edmonton Oilers play last night or was it Calgary? If I didn't know better, I would say it was Edmonton. This team is absolutely pathetic thus far in their game tonight against rival Calgary. The Flames coming off their OT victory last night against the Coyotes have controlled every aspect of this game thus far. They've won the puck battles, the races to the puck, they're outhitting the Oilers and they're taking it to them on the scoreboard, now leading 3-1. The second Flames goal on the powerplay was totally inexcusable from an Edmonton standpoint and the goal clearly showed this Oilers team has their heads halfway up their rear ends to this point. I haven't watched too many of the Oiler games this season but I was under the impression that they had plenty of speed with all their so-called young players, etc. Hell from what I've seen tonight, the Oilers need a swift kick in the rear end because they're being embarrassed by their provincial rivalries bigtime to this point in tonight's game in Edmonton.
