Back to the well here with Rangers home games. Again surprised by the number going up to 6.5. Rangers offensive struggles well documented, and on 0 days rest they've played 12 games with the total goals averaging 4.2/game. NYR only averaging 1.4 goals in those 12 games. Looks like it'll be Lindgren in net for the Caps and he has been superb in 2 starts vs NYR this year going 2-0 with a 95% SV % and 1.5 GAA. The only thing that gives me some pause here is the Capitals have actually played pretty high scoring contests on second half of back to backs. 8 of their 12 cases have totaled 7+ goals. Have to take into account the opponent and situation though. The Rangers will turn to Shesterkin tonight who is one of the leagues best and this is a massive game in the standings for Washington. We saw yesterday that NYR isn't just packing it in here and I'm not expecting Washington to light up the scoreboard. They're pretty limited offensively as well.

Minnesota very good offensive team and should be able to beat Talbot a few times. Wings are going to need to get pucks to the net early and often. Some dirty goals is what they need today. Also have nothing to lose with 6 games to play, would expect empty net for a long time if they're down.
