HABS VS HURRICANES game 2, as of Saturday morning, odds have been dropping on Carolina and now sit @ -215. I guess people think Carolina comes out strong, and bounces back given the teams strong home record. I have some serious concerns about Carolina and this line..My biggest issue is the level of competition Carolina has faced the first 2 rounds, and the delay getting the 3rd round started. Carolina rested for 11 days and looked a step behind Montreal in game 1, they also had a cupcake schedule the first 2 rounds, with 4 game sweeps in both series.. Now reality hits hard in round 3, the Hurricanes face a team that has faced a lot of adversity and won two series with game 7 wins. They have also beaten 2 of the top 3 teams in the league on their road to the conference finals. The Habs have beaten the 1 and 3 seeds in the conference and have little fear of Carolina who they went 4-0 against in the regular season. Montreal has adjusted to their competition and their goalie is likely the hottest in the playoffs. Anderson has not shown me anything to prove he is on par with Montreal's Dubes who has been sensational in net. Habs have been excellent on the road during the regular season and playoffs going 7-2 + 24-9-8. Love the Habs in this spot and hope they can keep things tight in the first period, as I expect Carolina to come out strong. Can't pass on this price, Habs look too strong to me, and Carolina will need to advance their game quickly to stay in this series, I will gladly take some action on the team playing better right now at a nice overlay price of + 175 on Montreal.
