Ottawa is desperate for wins these days, every game has meaning, but they are beat up on the back end with 2 rookie D now playing their 3rd NHL game, and my feeling is the long grind/push after the Olympics might be catching up with Ottawa. TB is also playing for seeding, as they are 2 points behind Buffalo with 2 games in hand. And a shot at first in their conference if they can catch Carolina.
Flo/NYI under 6-120: This total went up 1/2 goal overnight. NYI are one of a handful of teams with a defence-first mindset. They currently have the last wildcard spot, but Ottawa and Detroit are 1 point back, both with 1 game in hand.
Carolina -.5-130: Carolina outshot Montreal 43-19 on Tuesday and lost 5-2. That's a lot of rest in this compressed schedule. NJ is playing some pretty decent hockey these days, so it might be high scoring, and I note the total went up from 6 to 6.5 overnight.
I will probably have another 6-8 plays as the day unfolds.
General note: I'm cautious about betting must-win teams, playing a team out of the playoffs as it gets nearer to the end of the season.

2P: SJ +170 to over 6.5-105: SJ is overdue for a win, and they beat CLB 5-2 in January. The pressure is off SJ a bit as their chances of making the playoffs are slim at best. Its a value play that I will play for small and will likely turn into a four game parlay with two legs open.
Minny -120: They have Foligno back in the last game and reunited with his brother. After a mini slump, they beat Florida 3-2 on the road, outshooting them 50-20. Kaprisov and Erikksen Ek also returned earlier this week.
