I was on the Sharks for their recent wins over the Blue Jackets, Blues, and Ducks, but stepped off the train prior to their games last Thursday and Saturday vs. the Maple Leafs and the Predators. But tonight I am getting back on them because the Blackhawks figure to provide little resistance.
The Blackhawks are 2-7 this season on the road when facing a team they defeated at home in their previous meeting. On February 2nd they beat the Sharks in Chicago 6-3.
Both of their road wins occurred in Utah. They won the season series over the Mammoth 4-0. Here are the scores of the other 7 revenge games…
Lost 7-1 at Anaheim
Lost 6-4 at Ottawa
Lost 3-2 at Toronto
Lost 3-1 at Calgary
Lost 6-4 at the Rangers
Lost 4-3 at Dallas
Lost 4-0 at Vegas
Lost 3-2 at Winnipeg
The Blackhawks just snapped a 5-game losing streak (in which they were outscored 23-9) with a 4-2 win in Seattle. Since January 9th, the Blackhawks are 1-7 following a win. The only win came in Utah. Here are the scores of the 7 losses…
Lost 5-1 vs. Washington
Lost 4-1 vs. Edmonton
Lost 4-0 at Columbus
Lost 3-2 at Winnipeg
Lost 4-0 at Vegas
Lost 4-1 vs. Colorado
Lost 5-1 at Philadelphia
Come on. These guys don’t even seem to TRY to win two games in a row. I’m on the Sharks -146 and -1.5 +165.

monkeebooger, tonight I’m on the Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 +145. The Kraken are nothing to be afraid of. They’ve lost 14 of their last 17 games including their last 6, and they’ve scored a paltry total of 10 goals in those six defeats. Meanwhile the Knights need this game and they also figure to be determined to beat these Kraken who dealt them a 2-1 OT loss in Seattle in the second game of the season, and then beat the VGK again on January 31st in Vegas.
EIGHTEEN of the last 21 Kraken defeats have been by more than one goal, and that’s why I dismissed the -180 moneyline and greedily went for the beautiful -1.5 +145.

The Golden Knights must’ve thought their 3-1 lead in the 3rd period was sufficient against a team that hadn’t scored more than 2 goals in a game over the last two weeks.
But it wasn’t. Lame loss for the VGK.
