Pittsburgh penguins vs Philadelphia flyers

Question

it&#x27;s seems as though the oddsmakers are siding with Pittsburgh tomorrow against the flyers. right now, Pittsburgh is a -118 favorite which is surprising since Philly is at home and up 2-0. I would have expected the odds to be around -120 for Philly and &#x2B;100 for the penguins. I think this is a good indication that Pittsburgh is likely to get the win tomorrow afternoon. I can&#x27;t see the penguins going down 0-3 in this series with game 4 also in Philly.  I was fortunate to play some underdogs today that cashed but I&#x27;m going to side with the favorite for one unit. I think it will be a fun game to watch while I&#x27;m eating my pancakes in the morning.

The odds are an indication the books know people are chasing Pitt for their first win and can successfully sell them at that price. They are not an indication the books think Pitt gets its first win.

The line was set to draw you to pitt in an obvious must win. If the oddsmakers really thought pitt had this in the bag it would be more like pitt -140+

I think the big question in this series is will the D on each team ever tighten up or does the scoring frenzy continue??

I have been on the flyers for the first 2 games. I agree that the flyers are a beast of a team and they will more than likely win the series. I just don&#x27;t think they will win tonight. I commented in an article at the beginning of the year and the article was about teams that will surprise or teams to watch out for. something along those lines. I took a like of crap because I choose the flyers as one of the 5 or so teams that I thought would surprise people and do well. I hope the flyers do win it all this year. I have to admit I also choose Edmonton and Toronto in this category of teams that will surprise.  so Philly winning would help me forget those two awful suggestions.  Pittsburgh sees this as a do or die game and it would definitely take the wind out of their sails if Philly came in and crushed the penguina in a crucial game 3.
