Let's BE Totally Honest..Oilers Goalie Pickard saved them tonight
Yep. Much better overall night than Sinner.

Come back from 3 down to take the lead and Giving up the tying goal in reg with 17 sec left and winning it in ot. That game was won with mental toughness.

Skinner has been close to dogsh*t in this series, but outside of game 3 (when the Oils seem to want to fight rather than play hockey) very quietly Bobrovsky himself has now conceded 4, 4 & 5 goal totals, which is nothing like his (winning) efforts from last years finals, and far more like his (losing) efforts from the finals of 2 years back (when Vegas managed 4, 4 & 8 goal totals against him: and please note, all 3 of those efforts were on the road, even in that losing series he never conceded more than 3 at home: Oils offense did something in game 4 that even cup winner's Vegas couldn't manage). But unlike Skinner, his poor play has been overlooked because Florida have (1) been winning and (2) are the defending champs (meaning proven winners, people rarely second-guess proven winners). If Pickard can keep conceding 1 goal every 2 1/2 periods played from here on out (as per his game 4 effort) then Florida is in huge trouble. The Oils finally have the only guy in net they can potentially win the Cup with.

You're dreaming. The one in OT was immensely saveable, with it going between his too-slowly-closing legs. The blast by Wall was essentially a 1-on-1 with Bob with no screens to block his view. Straight beaten on his glove side. The fact the Oils had the puck from a defensive turnover absolves Bob of nothing. You're a Cats fan, I can tell. I hope their coach keeps making excuses for him like you are.

The only goals any goalie can't carry any share of responsibility for failing to concede, are ones he cannot see (screened from view). If Pickard had conceded that one-on-one chance Florida had at 3-1 in the 2nd, your logic dictates he wouldn't bear any responsibility for it because he didn't turn over the puck that led to the chance. BUT HE SAVED IT. He had a chance to save it, and he took the chance. Bobrovsky had chances to save goals he ended up conceding, he failed to do so. That's the point I've posited. Your asinine logic regarding him "being faultless" for not saving ANY of the 5 goals conceded is the only stupidity to be read by any neutral here.
