sharks will kill u if u try to hold on to a lead like that...look at all their comebacks this year. there is clearly no deficit the sharks feel like they cant come back from.
its all about matchups tho so im sure the strategy will change from vancouver. protecting a 1 goal lead vs nashville is different than protecting one vs sj
i missed reading this one. u r 100% correct - the 1-4 is annoying. has not worked for the nucks at all. if nucks have a 1 goal lead in any game and they employ this strategy- look for tons of ot games, and sharks comebacks

with no offense attended,im thinkiing sharks i am rooting vancouver, but the sharks have been so good so much longer i think its their time! i also dont think luongo can get it done (this is an isle fan who was pissed they traded roberto to make room for effing dipietro) but wish you well!

If the Sedins play hide and seek for any of that series the Nucks are fucked. They need all hands on deck. I don't like that you have those two Swedes leading your team into deep waters. That would be my biggest concern as a Nucks fan.
Wow would rather have thorton and marleau?
I think a wounded detroit team has made San Jose Fans over confident.
Nashville was the only team i was worried about in the West.

Should be a great series if they both advance
Not a San Jose fan just giving my two cents on the twin sisters and how easy it has looked for gritty hockey players like Bolland and now whoever Nashville throws on the ice against them to make them invisible in the playoffs every year so far. There is a reason no European Captain has ever led a team to the Stanley Cup.
Who knows maybe they will surprise and show up when they get pushed around and challenged with the physicality but they have not shown that in their playoff history thus far including these playoffs.
Yes from what I have seen in these playoffs and last years, I would rather have Thornoton and Marleau on my team in big physical games when it matters most. Hopefully for you the Sedins can change that outlook.
I hope the sisters step it up for you and show a grittier side to get it done when it counts cause you are going to need them that's all.
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

haha ur a classy guy. u might be one of the most polite on here. this discussion is intended to help make an informed decision for a series play. ur entitled to say whatever u want that is relevant

Hey Polar bear - Have you ever heard of Nick Lidstrom you cant use that argument any more.
Sedins are starting to heat up and as they did go through a swoon in the middle of the Chicago series that hung over until game 3 of this series.
To be honest I happen to know Henrik was ill at the end of the season and lost weight, he was not 100%. The Chicago series did not exactly help him get healthy. One thing I have noticed about their game is their cycle is getting better and it won't be long until they start potting some goals. I am not worried, they still demand the top 2 defenceman from the other team. Which frees up the Kessler line to reek havoc.
I think people are over reacting to the Sharks - Yes they have dominated play vs Detroit but the games have all been one goal games and the Wings are a hurting team, will be interesting to see how Joanne & Patty carry their team in Game 5 at home tomorrow, they better kill off the wings and not give them any hope.
One of the best games of the year this season was a march 10 tilt between VCR and SJ in the shark tank. The sharks were 9-1 in their last 10, Vancouver was in a 4 in 6 on the road and started a Schneider and won 5-4 in OT.
If that game is any indication of the potential of the series between these two bring it on!

Nick who??? LOL Yes after sending posting that I recalled Nick changing that a few years ago and there are exceptions to rules. Konstantinov was a great, gritty playoff european as well. No argument to use bro just going by what I have seen from those so far in their playoff careers as the games get bigger and they are more physically challenged, but hey things change man so time will tell.
I am Canadian dude so won't bother me to see Nucks take the Cup at all.
Kesler is just sick right now and I am a fan of Burrows and Bieksa.
Ofcourse like most series in the end this one would/will be decided by Luongo and Niemi at the end of the day.
I will be watching as an impartial fan and I only hope this series lives up to how amped up I am for it. I have my own little businnes here and therefore my own schedule so I get to see all the was coast games and watched both teams all season. I saw all the games between these two and it's great hockey.
I hope for your boys the Sedins do step up and answer the physical play they will be targeted with in these nexy two series should the Nucks be in both because I can gaurantee you that will be the oponents plan in both series....

Dude, better finish up your current action before you get this figured out and your Twins did a no-show as usual along with Luongo letting in 4 out of 23-not the clutch preformance I've been railing about. Bench em all, I say. Thank you for Kesler or you'd be down 3-2....this does not BODE well for the next 2 rounds if you get there.

I was watching the Canucks and Predators game 5 with someone who knows absolutely nothing about hockey, she said Luongo plays like a fat whale in net, while Rinne is a cougar stopping pucks from all angles.

ur right though i typically don't like any euro being the best player(s) on my team
Luongo is an Italian name, Kesler a Polish one, Torres is a Spanish name. 90% of the players in the NHL have their roots coming from Europe. Don't forget it.

hey Zig-roots change over time if they've been re-potted-we're talking about people that left a long time ago like Kesler's family vs. curren or recent inhabitants like the Sedins-and in the NBA we're ready to Kill Gasol again for going soft at the worst time...I love you're 6 week summer vacations and 2 hour lunches but not in playoff time.

Way to take his comment out of context. Every white person in North America is a descendent of Europe through some root. I would hope for your sake you understand he meant in modern life and hockey terms.
Luongo and Torres were both born and raised in Canada and are Canadians who grew up in and learned about life and hockey in a North American culture. Ryan Kesler was born and raised in the U.S.A and therefore learned about life and hockey in a North American culture. The Sedins were born and raised in Sweden and therefore learned about life and hockey in a European culture.
This is not difficult to comprehend and I am sure are aware what burley meant with his comment.
Leave your moronic sub-politics at the door...

i would like to nominate this for stupidest post of the day... gotta love people who say you're not a real fan if you are realistic and don't think your team is going to win every game.

van had 34 shots and 30 blocked shots. a total of 64 shots and u guys think
van was the inferior team? i am
actually excited that the sedins are starting to cycle again. during
the 2nd p from the 5min mark to the 3 min mark they had nashville
running around like little kids. edler wears the goat horns here, and the d men the bank shot for the 3rd time this series gave nash momentum. banked off edler.
edler gave away puck to ward on the 4th goal might as well call it a nice pass to ward
bieksa coughed up puck to fisher to set up ward on the 3rd goal
van d men couldn't hold the puck in for the 1st goal
d men lapses cost van. other than that van controlled play and got no
lucky bounces whereas the fluke 2nd goal gave nash the boost it needed.
i am playing van in game 6. best road team in the league
