Hey everyone, yesterday I locked in a parlay as follows:
Penguins to win game 1 AND the series
Spurs over Warriors
Blackhawks to win game 1 AND the series
Total payout of +270 for a pretty healthy bet considering my bankroll. I'm wondering if it's too early for me to hedge my bet in the way of Detroit tonight, considering 1- Chicago can still win the game and lose the series and 2- Penguins can still lose the series (although unlikely)
Thanks in advance guys.

Ridiculously too early. You essentially need 5 outcomes to happen to win (with 2 in each series) and so far you only have two of them. The only way I would even CONSIDER hedging is if you knock out a series and you have the last series remaining. Until that happens, you shouldn't be hedging.

i was going to hedge but decided against it and my team won 5-0. i just about clicked on washington for my hedge though...as they went down a goal and were +190
instead i used it for live play on leafs that night and won 300.

I'll ride it out tonight then see what odds I can get with each individual series if Chicago wins tonight. If the Hawks do win tonight, I'm guessing I can get somewhere in the +350-+400 range in both series, and throw a small wager down on both.

Thanks all

Probably the best way to go. Just curious, what were the prices on those "win game 1 and series" props?

So the Pens have a 70-75% chance of winning the series, Spurs are in. But if the Hawks lose tonight your tickets toast right? Ifn I read that right, I'd buy $50-60 worth of Wing stock SU ML. Detroit is not to be trusted and you can always nip&tuk your investment back later in the series. If I read that right...I'd probably let it ride if BaBCOCKS wasn't involved somehow.... GL man, great start....

thanks to those who talked me out of hedging last night. You were right- wayyyy too early. I'm now sitting in fantastic shape, and probably won't think about hedging unless 1 of the series gets tied up at some point.

An example of how covers actually helps. Sound advice here and now you are in great shape.
In general, hedging isn't a good idea unless something has changed. It's a shame when people get through a certain amount of risk and then give away profit just to guarantee winning something.
You're over the tough parts IMO....no need to waiver unless something changes. GL

Well it's been a wild ride so far, but I think it's time to hedge. I threw down a minor wager on the wings for game 6, but I think now is the time to throw a little more on game 7 at +190.
Lets go Hawks!

i took the hawks to win the west at +155 before the det series, thinking they would have no prob getting to the conf finals. down 3-1, i increased that wager at +500. i already hedged a bit on det ml on game 6. 5dimes has the det ml +190 and pl +1.5 at -160. laying 160 is not too bad considering i could hit the middle if the hawks win by 1 goal. future bet still alive and the pl cashes. however, +190 is a big number. maybe i will split it on both. they have overtime yes at +330. that looks nice.
