Love Bobby Lou's media interview after Game 6! Last year or two years ago, he'd be quivering in his pants just having to talk about this series/matchup! This year, literally nobody on the Canucks really gives a damn how the games outcome will be (whether that be reffing, bad goals, defensive breakdowns, etc.)!

There is literally NO tension or pressure within the players right now. Obviously that played against them in the last three games since their complete lack of urgency allowed for them to be outworked, but that'll be different in Game 7.

All the pressure is on Chicago now -- change the history books or waste everybody's time by extending the series for absolutely nothing.

. chi has had more pp every game.
at the rate they are calling penalties on the sedins it would possibly make them look as bad as dave schultz of the flyers.

wow i hate it when people look at the end numbers and say "the refs were one sided", whether it is with penalties in hockey, free-throws in bball, or yards in football....

here is a relvalation for you: THE TEAM WITH MORE PENALTY MINUTES IS ACTUALLY THE ONE THAT COMMITTED MORE PENALTIES......

The series has been called fairly.

don't worry if they lose i will make sure i bump ur thread when u personally lose as u did to me. i am watching u classless ontario dude.

since there has been zero intelligent response i had to search in other forums to find a proper response from a hawk fan. copy and paste

Am a hawks fan and have to agree Canucks have been getting short end of penalty calls....

Game 6 the non calls for Chicago were in my opinion ridiculous.... I don't know about the refs Vancouver is avg. 10 more penalty minutes per game than regular season, Chicago 3 more penalty minutes than regular season...

Very odd that a team is that far off their season avg. not blaming refs for anything but when you have to kill that much more it takes your team out of rhythm and does decide who controls the game...

Bettman did come from the NBA and we all know how the refs manipulate the playoffs to either extend them or decide somewhat which teams advance... just a thought....nothing more

Really you Vancouver fans can't and shouldn't chirp anything until you finally beat us or win a cup..so until then u might want to change your pic burley!

Relax man, I understand that you Vancouver fans are nervous as hell and I would be frustrated too if my team let the CUP CHAMPS come back from 3-0 down. Regardless my Hawks have owned your team over the years and win or lose tonight we have showen the rest of the league that your team is full of non playoff hockey players and you have no chance of winning the cup with the sedins and luongo in net.

Lighten up there Princess, i didn't say you cant be a fan of another team if you dont live in their city..i simply asked him how he became a big Hawks fan, i thought maybe he was originally from Chicago or spent some time there, just a question...settle down.

    Idiots...

In the regular season Vancouver had 348 minor penalties. Chicago had 265. Vancouver had 943 PIM and Chicago had 742, 3rd least in the league. Vancouver averaged 11.5 PIM/game. Chicago averaged 9.05.

Multiplying both by 6 gives us 54.3 for the Hawks and 69 for Vancouver, a difference of 15 PIM, or 7.5 minors.

Maybe Vancouver should stop committing penalties like they did all year. Maybe Chicago is actually good at not committing penalties, like they were all year...

I have seen nothing but cry babies in this thread and haven't seen one person actually say anything meaningful.

great point, but we all know why gillis said what he said...it was to hopefully help the referee's make some calls on the hawks tonight so his team has a better chance as he is scared just like every other Canucks backer out there!

Found this on a Hawks message board.. too lazy to confirm..

Game 4: CHI - 7 for 37 mins, VAN 11 for 59 mins (going into the 3rd, each team had 2 penalties each)

Game 5: CHI - 6 for 15 mins, VAN 7 for 27 mins (only difference was a 10 minute misconduct by Lapierre, otherwise all else is equal)

Game 6: CHI - 3 for 6 mins, VAN 5 for 10 mins (missed calls for BOTH sides, even if you won't admit it)

The ONLY big difference was in at the end of Game 4 when the game was out of reach and the Nucks were gooning it up, and in game Game 3: CHI - 2 for 4 mins, VAN 7 for 14 mins. BUT THE NUCKS WON

lol ! and u guys believe that? remind me not to follow your handicapping advice.
this as an analogy of u taking norl saints offensive stats and compare them to the bears offensive stats and coming to the conclusion that the saints would whoop the bears ass everytime they stepped on the field. the stat ur missing is defense in that equation and upon review of the numbers the off- def stats would reflect a different picture.
so what u did wrong in your 'math' is that u have to compare van pp chances to those they gave up and do the same with chicago's.
in the final tally van has a 5% disparity compared to chi's 8%.
    so u r way off.

i know most of u r pro chi in this thread so no need to fight a tribe of indians compared to one cowboy

hey should be a good game tonight.
i am pretty sure that the refs will allow the boys to settle it on the ice tonight. like it should be

    Beefs with the video:

Clip 1: Keith tripped him with his skates. It looks a lot worse, like he hits him with his stick and that knocks him over... Sedin flops worse than Ron Artest.

Clip 2: The officials arm is already up as the clip is starting so you really can't conclude anything.

Clip 3: None of the guys changing touched the puck. There is a grace period for players to get on and off the ice. Nobody right off the bench touches it and nobody going off does.

Clip 5?: Goalie interference is always a gray area. Hossa got hosed on one last year that stands out in my mind very vividly.

The Hansen boarding penalty was called because they were chasing the puck for icing and he didn't play the puck. A few years ago this would have been a no call but player safety has become more of a concern these days.

Not sure why the penalty shot call is on there...

John Scott got away with one, yes.

When these happen in the game the commentators, at least local, do a good job explaining why it's a penalty. At least Eddie O does. Steve Konroyd is an ass.

Bieksa should ask Rafi why no penalty got called on that hit.

Why is a clip of the refs explaining the 10 minute overtime shovel crew rule to Sedin bad officiating?

Some clips are valid arguments, but a 6 minute video is pushing it.

hawks did have a pp in ot but imo had gillis not broke this to the media then the pp would have continued for the hawks.
    good work gillis!
funny how the thread stopped after i taught some chicago fans from doing proper math.
btw gillis not fined. he was merely pointing out facts.

lol could have fooled me u were cheering for the nucks. with fans like u we don't need enemies like u and flutie.
sorry those stats that u agreed with were about gambling and gaining knowledge from facts to make an informed decision.
i pointed that out in the analogy which u agreed with his 'math' so fuck yourself - you're the idiot for not analysing stats properly which will affect your gambling. no doubt.
if u thought this thread was not about gambling at all then why did u chime in like 4 times or so?! kind of a hypocrite aren't u.
naturally i had to come in here cuz u hawk fans - thought we and gillis were crybabies. who would stand for that shit?
maybe we should bump the thread where poor seabrook got hit in the head and see how many crybabies were in that thread. cuz bieksa got hit the same way and there were none of us crying.
all gillis did was report facts and u guys had to try and put your own spin on it. that is the part that is and was ridiculous

lol could have fooled me u were cheering for the nucks. with fans like u we don't need enemies like u and flutie.
sorry those stats that u agreed with were about gambling and gaining knowledge from facts to make an informed decision.
i pointed that out in the analogy which u agreed with his 'math' so fuck yourself - you're the idiot for not analysing stats properly which will affect your gambling. no doubt.
if u thought this thread was not about gambling at all then why did u chime in like 4 times or so?! kind of a hypocrite aren't u.

no cuz if u actually watched the video link the discrepencies were evident in gms 4,5,6 .
gillis was reporting facts. if he cried like lindy ruff did every night then u would have a point.
lastly your point - yes it did pay off. the refs allowed both sides to play old fashioned hockey. let's not forget though chi had a pp in ot so they had makeup calls.
either way you are entitled to your opinion. i seen lots of posts in this forum by blackhawk supporters type in that if not for crawford the score would be 7-1.
that just shows who the better team was last night. aside from goaltendin

Since when are penalty calls supposed to be equal? commit the penalty; suffer the consequence. Simple as that.

Canucks were the better team,  and they HAD to call that penalty in OT it was a tackle that led to a scoring chance if they dont.
