we all know AM69 is despicable..

RIP Sean Taylor.

There are a ton of theories out there and it does seem like he was targeted. However, it could have been a home burglary and the person shot Taylor in the leg because according to the law if you shoot someone below the waist it is not attempted murder.

I dare you to find anything on him where he called out a teammate.

I dare you to find something on him that would prove that he was a thug.

Sean Taylor did get arrested....twice.  Once for a DUI in which the judge threw the case out because of lack of evidence and commented that Sean had no sign of drinking, the only reason he was charged with a DUI was because he refused a breathalizer test.  He had been at a party at Rod Gardners house where occupants claimed to never have seen Sean take a drink.

His second arrest was a case where someone stole his ATV's.  He knew who did it and confronted the guy.  He beat the guy up.  But, he was FALSELY accused of brandishing a firearm and that was proven in court.  Ask anyone in Miami, the only reason charges were brought upon Taylor was being of an overzealous prosecutor that wanted to promote his DJ business.  The prosecutor was dismissed from the case and the new pros. offered Taylor a plea bargin, which he accepted.  It was wrong, but it was nothing more than getting into a fight until the guys that got beat up returned and shot up someone's house and Taylor's car.  If you want to actually find facts, they are easy to find.

3rd incident he spit on another player.  Wrongt, but I don't think he deserved to die over it.

Find me where he got in trouble in college.  Find me where he got into trouble in high school.  Also, he really got his life together in the last 2 years.

Of course, people listening to idiots like ESPN and Cowherd think they know the truth.

The thing I find odd is Ricky Williams has never committed a crime or been arrested. Never called out teammates or spit on a teammate like Sean. He battles a disorder. He feels uncomfortable in his own skin. Yet the guys around here look at him worst than the thugs in the nfl. Ricky is smarter and more articulate than 90% of the dudes in the league.

LMAO. Just when I thought you couldnt get any dumber.  I saw tthis post.  Then again, you do represent the average UGA fan.

Nothing interesting about that article except its from a self-hating fat man.

Whitlock is a bigger sambo than the players he writes negatively about.

Get this B.S. Outta here!

Now every moron can type on the internet! Jeez!
So hE derserved to be killed at his own home when he was not out on the streets in Miami? What's happening to reason? He died protected his family and he was engaged to Andy Garcia's Niece who spoke every highly of Sean.

There are people targeting Athletes: Curry got tied up in his home at gun point while he was robbed, Anthoine Walker got robbed in Chitown at home.

As for that Fatlock! He's an idiot and a self-hater. Who refuses to accept the fact that people need to be accountable for their action so you don't always blames others. What another moron, self-hater, fat bastard idiot, human degrader, self racist!

RIP Sean Taylor and others who lost their lives!

Whitlock knows who writes his checks.    The same people who appluad his articles about Sean Taylor, The Hip Hop Generation, His support of Imus, etc.     We're the same people who ripped him and called him a racist a couple of weeks ago when he criticize Charlie Weis for the bad job he is doing at Notre Dame.    Whitlock plays both sides of the fence.

And as for you 69, you know who you are and what you're about.   Who do you think you're foolin?     You're an alias and a closet racist.   Just admit it.

Looks like the original post was wrong.  This wasn't his "thug life" catching up with him.  This was some young criminals targeting his house because of MONEY.  Not because of who he was or what he did.  Taylor was completely innocent and did nothing to bring this on himself.  Except maybe he would have been wiser to hide rather than pursue the burglars with a machete.  Probably notr the best choice there.  But this was not his past catching up with him.  Had nothing to do with it.

But people just love to jump to conclusions about people.

Sean Taylor had a very minimal rap sheet with a single conviction.   Defending him against claims he was a thug isn't saying he was a saint.  It's being real not a drama queen.  I don't know any saints.

Bottom line is Shawn Taylor got himself to a very successful place in life.  And then was starting a family to boot.  He was brutally murdered.  All these people blaming him or saying he deserved it are fucking idiots.

I'm so glad they caught those cowardly pussies.

I know we create a lot of negative stories about law enforcement personnel in the "General Subject" forum.    But this time we have to give them there just due.

Sean, like so many high profile athletes, had an image that the media portrayed that was quite different than who he truly was.

I always thought Deion Sanders was a pompous and selfish ass for so many years.  And then you listen to people that KNEW him and played with him.  They said he was a great guy and one of the best  teammates they ever played with.  That had held more weight with me than what I was seeing on TV.

Same thing with Sean.  Just listen to what people who KNEW this man are saying about him.  Gregg Williams thought of him like a SON.  Joe Gibbs was reported in the Washington Post this morning as crying a number of times in private this week over this young man.

A "thug" does not get this kind of outpouring.  Take your cues from the people that knew Sean, not the media or your preconceived notions.

What is up with some of the posters here who falsely and relentlessly try to say sean taylor was murdered because he was a banger or hung with bangers?   It began they day he died and continues with the emerging contrary facts making no difference to guys wholly lacking in common decency or respect for the truth.

This thread would be more aptly titled if it read, "Why are people trying to say Taylor was a thug?"  There's a big difference in defending sean against this thug bullshit than saying he's a saint.  No one here is saying he was a saint.  I don't acutally know any saints.   The guys that continue to post this "thug" crap regardless of the truth got issues well beyond their slanderous posts here.
