People die, none of you knew sean taylor he wasnt your brother, cousin, dad, he was a guy who made a livin playing football. He was taken early but im sure we will still have school on his birthday to quote chris rock. You guys jus want to follow around a guy blindly, because its what you think you need to do. And you say oh its so sad he had a wife and a kid, well till this tragedy i didnt know he had a gf, wife and kid. Seems sean taylor is a better humanitarian in death more than in life.

So leave it as is, people who knew sean let them mourn,

Im a steeler fan and when Ben had his horrific bike accident, if he wouldnt have made it, it wouldnt have affected my life. It would have sucked yes, but i didnt know the guy he was a qb for my team. All players come and go from our teams, but the team lives on.

So people who say his death is bigger than football it really isnt, we watch football because we enjoy it, sorry sean died, but its not gonna affect my nfl watching.

Actually who is thinkin of fadin the skins this weekend

..  people react like they bang him on a regular basis

KID was 24, granted he hung out with the wrong crowd, IN HIS YOUTH, but never epitomized the thug lifestyle in his professional career, or did he pose as a poor role model for anyone.  His death was tragic beause he was turning his life around.  He didn;t get shot like a thug would, in front of a bar, club, back alley, in the city.  he got murdered in his home, by presumably a burglar, if it was a thug killing a thug, you think he would have missed once and got him in the leg?? Ha.

When you say Sean Taylor was a thug.  I ask you they why didn;t he die like a thug.  He died trying to project his kid. Real Thug like.

I can't believe how many illiterate people posted in this thread..

where did I say he deserved death...

I only pointed out the man shouldn't be idolized...he was a thug

His past caught up with him....period.

Why should I mourn the death of a goon?
I don't know the guy...innocent people are killed every day...
Do you folks mourn all their deaths, or are you all just jock sniffers who idolize EVERY  athlete, regardless of their attitude/class

If Ronde Barber, or Tiki are killed, that would be a tragedy, they have class, and are respectable human beings.

    Sean Taylor...
    throw out the garbage

I don't know the guy...innocent people are killed every day...
Do you folks mourn all their deaths, or are you all just jock sniffers who idolize EVERY  athlete, regardless of their attitude/class

If Ronde Barber, or Tiki are killed, that would be a tragedy, they have class, and are respectable human beings.

    Sean Taylor...
    throw out the garbage

What bothers me the most (and I have been called out all over here for it) is that this is happeneing (including to my family) all over the place, everyday.  Where it came to my innocent nephew by a stray bullet, just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  My prayers go to this man and his family, but when you think grimace and somber feelings for this guy, you better give a long, hard thought about kids that range from as young as 12 to 28, 29 etc and their families that face this everyday.

He was a pro and a star at that, so we recognize this.  But think about that kid that never got the shot to be something before we ever heard of him/her because of a bullet cutting everything short.

This happens everyday and being apart of one of those situations it puts me on the playing field.  I'm not a tree- hugging, peace- loving asshole, but I really think this on- going mess gets worse and worse everyday.

Sad thing is..what can we do about it?

Regardless, I'm not only sending a shoutout to Taylor and his family, but to every other family (that doesn't find stardom on a field/court) that had or has to go through this same situation.

God Bless, and I only hope things can get better, before it has gone too far...if it hasn't already.  (Just throws tears to my eyes).

    RIP

So, why do you think bullets are whizzing by you and the others that you love everyday?  Just curious.

This guy 69 has already been boxed earlier this year for racist comments.    He can't help it, its in his nature.   I'm not asking for him to be banned, he's entitled to his opinions.   But we all know this guy's agenda.   And that is to create negative threads when it comes to people of color.

We're going to find out a lot more in the upcoming weeks about this murder, then we can all reevaluate our comments about this matter at a later date.

How in any way, shape, or form can this thread be racist?

No race is mentioned, no derogatory comments towards race are mentioned.

    Thug..Goon..hoodlum...punk...

are not words used to describe a skin color, they are words that describe an attitude.

Racists like you, that bring race into every argument / discussion are the reason there is such racial divide in this country.

I will tell you the definition of a racist...........Someone winning an argument with a black man

Ive got one question about this whole thing.....first let me say God rest his soul and hope god looks out for his family......but,......
Why the hell would a guy,who happens to be a star football player, who is in the spotlight with plenty of money and a so-called checkered and troublesome past not have a HOME SECURITY SYSTEM and a top of the line one at that?? Or Even a Big ass dog for that matter!!!

    I  can answer that...

seems a sister ( of him or the girlfriend) was staying there off and on.
They didn't set the alarm, because she was in and out...

Sean Taylor was no saint that is for sure. He is one of millions of young black men that was/is a product of his enviroment. He is one of 100s that was gunned down for senseless reasons. The media will say the same old thing "He was just turning his life around" or "He did a 180 once his child was born" etc..
Which are very hollow and made for consumption young white and black men who have an almost gay love for athletes or soccer moms who always want the Oprah/The View slant to help them deal with real life like it was a tragic Made for TV Movie on Lifetime. Taylor himself had pulled a loaded gun on a Human Being and pistol whipped said person. If he wasn't able to run a a high rate of speed for his size he would be in jail now like 10s of thousands of other young men charged with lesser crimes.
All that being said. The man, Taylor, was sleeping in his own bed in his own house with his baby's momma. No one should and I mean no one should be murdered in what most people would consider the safest place in the world ....Your House Your Bed with Your Wife/Girlfriend. I don't feel one way or the other about Taylor since living between Killadelphia and Bodymore this is a daily event times 5.....Its the culture from these neighborhoods. Guns, easy money, violence is the name of the game...These traits are glorified in Rap, Hip-Hop (50 Cent and a cast of thousands), Video Games (Grand Theft Auto), Movies (State Property, Amercian Gangster)....Its all about having two parents in a house, learning respect in value for human life and education.Period....A young poor fatherless black kid at say age 9 AT HOME plays Grand Theft Auto on an Xbox paid for from slinging rock, then watches American Gangster, and listens to the limitless Raps about Murder, person, drugs , cars, Money and being the man...on the street he is not going to school or just going to be there because he doesnt want to be too white...all the men on his block have been to jail so its been normalize, drug dealers are the men with the money and the hos so they are looked up to.....well is there any doubt what this 9 year old is going to grow into...Sean Taylor is a posterboy for all the shit going down right now.

Just would like to add...the every present Media Industrial Complex..that alot of kids are constantly immersed in with Ipods, Internet , Movies, TV etc (books are boring..ie you have to use your brain)...Does play a part in the Masses that are caught in this Net of Violence...Funny thing is its the stupid spoiled white wiggertype kids that live in the nice comfy soft safe Suburbs that drive all this Media inspired violence with there mommy and daddy's credit cards...they try and talk, dress and act like they are from the Hood yet these pussies would ball up in the fetal position crying like babies if they had to spend one week in the conditions alot of inner-city kids live everyday since cradle and sadly to an early grave or lock up for most of their prime years. Yet they playact and play dress up like little kids whereas real kids fall prey to a Media that is all about profit margin and feels no social responsibility for anything it does. People want to point at gun control when in fact it has taken years of warping a mind to use the gun. Add to the fact that all the old factory jobs that were in the city are now being don by Wu-Sun Chang half a world away the economic conditions are the final nail in many of these young mens coffins. To be honest the problems are so deep ,widespread and an economic downturn seems to be clearly getting ready to ramp up that I don't see things getting better for a generation. sigh

WTF people.... Its a tragedy because he was 24 and because he leaves behind a child that will never be able to do things with his father. Like toss a footall in the backyard after thanksgiving dinner.

He was idolized because the media puts him in our face every 30 minutes (Sportscenter).

He was a human. Always making and learning from the mistakes we make in life. Thug, NO.

Sorry it happened and thankfull for the entertainment that he gave on the field.
