NE -12 there will be over reaction of NE almost losing and NYJ actually beating Tampa.

Pitts +7: getting embarrassed at home and going against divisional foe getting 7 points on Monday night.  This will be a close game.

Baltimore -6.5: baltimore is a different team, lost lots of players blah blah blah.  Home coming for champs show the lowly divisional foe a whooping.  Cleveland couldn't do anything right at home, probably won't get much better second week.  Cleveland is a franchise that attracts losing.  I doubt they win 6 games this year.  I really wonder which team is gonna take this division.  Probably go right down the wire but cleveland won't be in the race.

They come into this game thinking they can bounce back easily against a team they have dominated the last years, against a team that scored 10 points on Miami at home. But it isn't the same Ravens team from the last years, let alone the SB champs. They looked awful on D, missing tackles, bad coverage. CLE coming into this game knowing they have nothing to lose but can snap a long losing streak against their divisional rivals. If the Ravens can't get an early lead they will get nervous. Weeden won't throw 3 INT again. He could have gone for over 300 yards easily against Miami. They will convert more than 1 third down this time. Against the Ravens secondary he will have a solid day, bank it. The gameplan will give TRich some more action on the ground, which sets the way for some play action passes downfield. Given the situation the Browns have nothing to lose and Baltimore in a must-win situation with a lot of pressure, I can see good chances for a Browns cover, maybe a straight up win at Baltimore.

A few things to consider about CLE, both starting guards were out which means Weeden has no time to throw - partially why his performance was pitiful versus MIA.  This doesnt change and now they have to try and stop one of the best DT in the game in Ngata.  The other reason why Weeden was terrible is he has no WR, Gordon is out another game and Greg Little is not even a WR4.  Cameron had a good game but you cannot live on him alone.  Lastly you would assume Chudz would learn from his mistake and feed TRichardson the ball more so that is a potential positive for CLE.

I think CLE has a very high end defense with strong DL and pass rush with a top 5 CB in Haden.  In the end I would be surprised to see CLE win but I agree it will not be a blowout.  I have no true lean ATS, but I do think BAL wins.

The last 4 games have gone over between the Pats and Jets and 25 of the last 41 games have gone over.   Even though teams change over the years that's definitely interesting for a rivalry.

Everyone also expects them to bounce back and crush a NYJ team everyone has pooped on all offseason/preseason, because that's what they'd normally do. I normally like these situations, but I watched that game carefully being a Bills fan.

I saw a team that played one of the worst secondaries in the league missing their top safety and cornerback and only put up 16 on them. (Sorry getting a gift TD with a CJ fumble at the buf 10 doesn't really count.) They had great field position A LOT of the game.

I saw a team with young receivers/TE's running bad routes, not separating from bad DB's, and missing blocking assignments.

I saw a team that relied heavily on Amendola as the only reason they had any success in the passing game, who is now out.

Do I think Bill will get things fixed? Sure. Do I think this is a normal pats offense that will come in and blow out a GOOD Jets defense? Nah. Maybe if this was a week 12 game.

You also can't just look through the rose glasses. You don't think the Jets watched and heard everyone sh**ing on them all preseason/offseason? You don't think they want to come into the pats house and stun the NFL/play their heart out?

Just wanna play some devil's advocate because I think there's a little too much biased pats love that haven't taken a real look at their current situation.

    My prediction - Pats-24 NYJ-16

What better venue than a primetime divisional game to silence the critics of a poor Patriots week 1 performance? Everyone is down on the Pats right now

St Louis Rams +7 all day.  Falcons historically have had issues covering a big spread as mentioned in my post.

good thread...tempted to take Jets + points or tease jets up and take under... I see a 17-13 F type game with NE winning not covering.

Dolphins +3. The Dolphins defense gave Weeden trouble all day and I expect the same result for Luck. Luck is a better QB with scrambling abilities but in the end pressure will cause mistakes. Colts o-line looked unimpressive vs Oakland and will  be facing one of the best front 7s in the game. I don't see the Colts Secondary as a strength and expect Tannehill to go over the 300yd mark with multiple td's.

I hit Giants at +5.5 earlier in the week, and I am feeling even better about it now after seeing the line movement.  The Broncos and Peyton were all the talk after their incredible first week, while the Giants turned it over 6 times.  A great buy-low sell-high spot here.  Everyone has Peyton and his 7 td's on their mind, while I see a Broncos D that is going to get destroyed by a great trio of receivers.  After the week the Giants had,  I really do not think turnovers will be the issue at all.

Really like an angry Baltimore team against an inept Cleveland team
Arizona is a much more all around team than Detroit. I find it hard to believe they are getting points at home against a mistake prone QB.
    So..
    Baltimore
    AZ
    Lean Tenn
