Well put. Take a look at MGM's or Harrah's '08 earnings. Sportsbooks earnings barely even make the statement. People on covers that say 'Vegas took a beating', etc, it is so cliche and have no idea what they are talking about, it really needs to stop. Sports gambling is pretty much non-item to casinos. Not to mention, public money doesn't even come close to the Sharp money wagered. If 80% of the public is on one side and they lose, Vegas ends up losing more to the 20% of Sharp money. They'd much rather lose to the public all week long. Let it go.
