Looks like they lose 2nd round picks in '12 and '13.  GM gets 8 game suspension and a fine of $500K. S. Payton gone for the year.  
G. Williams suspended indefinitely.  

I am probably missing a fine for Payton, but this looks like most of it.  They are lucky they didn't lose any 1st round picks.

Not enough.

They need to have more draft picks taken and the HC gone for longer but suspending Williams is for sure the right decision.

At least it is something though..better than looking the other way.

what a joke. all former players laugh at this bounty stuff for the most part. Its been part of the game forever. Not sure the saints deserve this kind of punishment for such a common practice

Wow, they got drilled.  Bad timing for the the Saints to have this come to light at a time when the league is focusing on player safety.  Goodell obviously wanted to send a message and he's clearly not messing around on this.

Then consider it punishment for being morons.  They were given strict instructions to stop it and they know how cut throat the Commish is. Serves 'em right for being idiots.  

Personally, the money doesn't mean dick.  They all can afford it.  1 year without a coach.....not that big of a deal....they will survive.  I would have preferred they take their 2012 and 2013 FIRST round picks.  That's what hits home.

I wonder how many people have money on the Saints to win the Super Bowl...saying this is the year...because the Saints are hosting the Super Bowl next year. Interesting...

i concur, i can still remember that Saints defenders launched those vicious hits on Brett Farve in that NFC Championship Game.

This is huge punishment...

Payton suspended 1 yr w/o pay - $6 mil
GM Loomis suspended 8 games w/o pay - guessing $500K
Saints assist. HC Vitt for 6 games w/o pay - guessing $200k
Rams DC Williams suspended indef, min 1 yr, w/o pay - guessing $500K.  Wouldn't be surprise if Fisher parts way w/ him now too.

Saints fined $500K, loses 2012 and 2013 2nd rd picks.

There will also be players suspensions as this part is still under investigation.

It's pretty damning for Payton, Williams, and Vitt - They lied/misled/fabricated the truth to league when 1st asked about it in 2010 and that's a NO-NO boys.  I bet this played large part in putting the hammer down.

NFL investigation finds Saints bounty program targeted Brett Favre, Cam Newton, Aaron Rogers and Kurt Warner.

Kurt Warner got laided by Saints defender after Warner threw the INT in that NFC Divisional Playoff.

Williams also had a bounty program at previous stops. That's why he got the big hammer. Would not be suprised if NFL puts conditions on his being hired in the not so near future.........
