KS I hope you are right however I highly doubt it. Dallas used a 2nd string quarterback for most of the 2nd half than Romo with a broken rib came in and drove up and down the field on the 49ers. Big Ben passed for a total of 330 yards Eli Manning 311yrds Romo 345 (Cowboys 432 if u include Kitna) those are the only home games they have played against top flight qbs with quality recievers. Brees is alot more accurate than any of those 3. You think Saints are gonna defend Gore???? They are gonna try to stop him but you know how they plan to take him away burry the 49ers 14-0 early and force an inept Alex Smith to try to beat them. Harbaugh is a good coach but only 1 allowed in the Super Bowl and he is coaching Baltimore. Nice season 49ers good job in over achieving but now get your golf clubs and cleets ready Saints sending you into the off season.

I break down every aspect of a game, then post the pertinent aspects as I see it..please know that if I posted everything from top to bottom (as I cap it) the write up would be 7 pages long...per this game, it is the fact that the Saints are not the same (or close to it) offense on grass as they are at home.... and the game plans of each will be much different: Saints 'dink and dunk' instead of the passing all over the field and going deep every other play..... and the niners who will be passing much more on first, and even on 3rd downs than we are used to seeing.....peace, and enjoy the game fellas

Hate to rain on the parade, but this is a classic example of some excellent capping that ends up failing because sometimes you just think too much. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees, so to speak.
Here is the bottom line: San Fran cannot score the amount of points it takes to beat the Saints. The Saints will score 24 points today. That is a high likelihood. We have a new version of Alex Smith this year. Well...let's see how Alex likes the playoff atmosphere. The only chance the niners have is for Alex to hook up on some big plays this game, and I just can't see it happening. The niners are worthy of respect. It's not often that you see a team traveling across the country and favored in a road game. There is a reason for this.
The only thing that will cause me concern is if the line crosses 3 prior to gametime. If it goes to 2.5, I probably won't play. If it goes to 3, I might consider playing light. If it stays at 3.5, I'm pounding Saints ML.
For niner backers' sake, maybe Saints will take it by 3 and we both hit. 3.5 is a lot to lay at niners. But Brees will get this win. Mark it down.

Well I had 6.6 U's on the 9ers, and 4.4 on the Under (which was just 1 pt off my score prediction with 6 mins to go).... I will take the 1.6 U's and sit back and enjoy the Den / NE game

All season long Brees has averaged a 93 passer rating in away games (not counting the Minnesota game where they had signed defensive secondary players off the street late in the season), and Alex Smith averaged a 101 passer rating @ home...today? Brees 93 rating, Smith 103.... interesting

That hurt with less then 2 mins remaining 49ers TD for the WIN!
no, what hurt was having a 7 pt cushion on the Under with 6 mins to go then lose that ticket by 21 pts.... they scored almost a third of the games pts with 6 mins to go lol... still made money so I am not complaining, but it could have been a nice hit

Good job ks, glad i tailed you and vegasjack yet again. If anyone doesn't think that home field mattered and the saints being outside was the difference didn't watch the same game i did. Multiple saints fell down during the game and it helped neutralize sprowles. Still took some luck to win but ill take it any day:)

Sure thing..nice win...nevermind the 5 turnovers with one being on the 2 yard line going in and another essentially a pick 6. While niners got this one so job to niner backers, you were on the wrong team in this one.

read the write up... I called out the SF T.O. battle and the fact that it would play..... Saints lost half their TO battles on the road, and the 9ers won ALL but 14 or 16 TO battles by a margin of +1, or more....going against the Saints -3 on the year...you know they were going to win the Battle
