I find it very interesting that most of the good QBs now reside in the AFC. 

Rodgers has crowded himself in a very competitive division and conference   He may improve NJs record, but to what avail ?  Can he be expected to get this team to the super bowl  ?

I'm also a diehard GB fan, and I wouldn't put it past Rodgers to calculate exactly how many snaps he'll need to play so it doesn't reach 65%. The rest is kinda "yeah, that would fuckin happen"

I'm a Green Bay fan 1st of all. Personally I think the Jets will do just fine with Rodgers. He gets a lot crap for only "1"  Super Bowl win. Yeah, it is true some of that may be on Rogers, but some of it falls on the "upper level Mgmt". Green Bay has not had a viable defense since Charles Woodson retired. That is very close to the facts. Woodson made Capers look great. Without Woodson, Capers was lost ( like he had only 11 guys on the field). Woodson was the best CB the league has ever seen and the second best is not close......that's how good he was. The best defense we had since, was when Linebacker Z. Smith was on board. He is a "Woodson" type of linebacker. He made everybody better and could "smell" what the defense had in mind. He did not have that effect in Minnesota but he did in G.B, We just could not afford to keep him.

 Sorry for the babble. If Rogers has just an average season, the Jets should make the playoffs. If the Jets are smart, as soon as they get a 14-17 point lead.....rest Rodgers and put the pressure on one of leagues best Defense's. The Coach cannot put the Yoke on Rodgers neck and just hope he pulls the Jets to a Super Bowl. Get a lead and put Rogers on ice. Your going to have two "young" decent back up QB's to finish games,  I am hopeful for the Jets fans...you guys deserve a decent team for a once. But that whole theory will be hard to pull off, given Rodgers will be taking a giant step up in the "quality" of he Defenses. He also has not seen much of those defenses. Don't think there any "Bear" teams in the AFC East that Rodgers can "Own".

That being said, this has been tried 8 times in the history of the N.F.L with a 0-8 success rate. To make matters worse, only one of those 8 qb's made to a single playoff game at that was it. 

The Silver lining in my opinion is this, The Jets have a smart coach in my opinion, not perfect, but savvy enough to pull this off. The Jet fans should have optimism for good and sound reasons but nevertheless you have to keep it real, the road is going to be brutal with tough sledding, even if Rodgers was 30. The "yoke" has to go on the defense to pull this team to a super bowl. 

Should be a interesting year in the N.F.L for both the Jets and the Packers! Good luck Jets fans I'll be rooting for the Jets to pull it off

Jets were 5-2 last season when Breece Hall got hurt.  With him healthy, and Rodgers at QB, they just might be a pretty good team.
