Season almost over....and what a season it's been!
My 49ers to win the NFC conference bet at +342 is still live....I've hedged back on the Eagles at -125 on the moneyline to guarantee myself a profit of 1.67 units regardless of whether the Eagles or the 49ers win.
I've taken the Bengals -1 for two units....you should be able to get a better line that that....my NFC conference bets will pay for my Bengals play if they should lose.

I have three indicators that I use when comparing the two teams playing in the Super Bowl, based on historical results. The Eagles will have two of them in their favor should they get by the 49ers and play either the Chiefs or the Bengals.
The first one favoring the Eagles has been 14-7 ATS in the Super Bowl, while the second one has gone 9-3 ATS....combined they have gone 8-2 ATS, 6-4 straight up, making this a +EV play.
And no, I'm not divulging the indicators...lol.
Of course if the Eagles get by the 49ers, I can always hedge in the Super Bowl.

Indigo i got one for next year if you don't mind...it involves totals which I thought u said u are getting more interested in....I just want to add it to my notes while thinking of it
Should be an easy search.
Prefer if we only go back 10 years as the passing game has become more and more prevalent...
10 years multiplied by 32 games weeks 1 and 2...the query should produce 320 results including pushes....if this query is possible
Nfl weeks 1 and 2.. what is the over/under record??
I have noticed over the years ppl say unders first 2 or 3 weeks of season but dunno if numbers back it up.....
Just wanted to add it to my notes if you have extra minute or 2 to run it

@Indigo999 For all your queries that end in " team playing in 3rd playoff game" That will happen in every conf.champ game that #1 seed plays in as their is only 1 bye team per conference. Should grow that data base
You might want to re-think that....before last season the top two seeds had byes, and seeds 3-6 had to win three playoff games to get to the Super Bowl...........now obviously it's every seed that has to, including seed 7 with the exception of the number one seed.

It should be mentioned that when discussing these historical trends that I've used throughout the season, that the database results goes back to 1989 in the regular season.
However, in the playoffs the results go back only to 2001,...I am guessing that the playoff results were added afterwards, hence the smaller sample sizes than what we've been finding during the regular season.

Let me re-phrase
From now on. Any #1 seed will be guaranteed to be playing a team playing their 3rd playoff game in the conf. Championship game
In the past if #1 and #2 met they would both be playing 2nd playoff game....with only 1 bye that is now impossible

List all of the great QBs or teams that the Eagles have faced this year including the one on Sunday? They beat Kirk Cousins and a bad Rodgers led Green Bay team barely. They played a weak schedule and I don't see them getting to the Superbowl.
Philly is used to playing victims and will find the skill position players of San Fran to be their tormentors.
