James Harrison Hit on Fitzpatrick

Ok upfront I am from Pittsburgh... Yes I am a steelers fan, but more importantly i am a fan of football. Not a fan of Arena football but a fan of NFL football. Im not going to sit here and say that the refs or the league are scheming against the steelers because those who say that are just being silly. I was at the Buffalo game yesterday and saw that hit live and many times since. I really cant understand why Harrison's hit is a penalty. They said he was leading with the crown of his helmet... but the hit was not to the head, late or outrageously rough. I have seen that hit from a million pass rushers over the last 10 years. Holding is holding no matter which team you cheer for, but these calls are so subjective that it is making this new brand of football hard to watch, not as just a steelers fan but a football fan in general.

Its pretty close. If it was someone else doing the hitting they probably wouldn&#x27;t throw the flag but it looked like he launched himself helmet first.

he&#x27;s targeted just like that kid from auburn the refs are gonna get on him, that was a bogus call in the auburn game but after watching highlights of his past games i can see why they threw it.  i dont agree with it but i understand it thats all im saying

Accidental helmet to helmet hit and the nfl acts like the person shouldnt be allowed to play football, but they will allow fights i guess. Maybe next time harrison should just throw a few punches at the quarter back he will get a smaller fine and not have to worry about a suspension.

im glad that the punishment for andre johnson and finnegan were the same as for seymore for fighting. that is one time where the NFL has been consistent this season... on those 2 incidents..

i have to agree.  I have watched the hit a few times and I do not see anything wrong with what he did.  The NFL is in damage control now and these refs are being watched so closely that they are throwing flags on anything close.  That goes with pass interference too...It&#x27;s being called way too tight and the NFL is suffering from it.  It&#x27;s a joke and it&#x27;s going to cost a team a playoff birth or even a playoff defeat and then it is going to be a huge problem...It&#x27;s a joke if they fine him for that hit
