I'll enjoy watching my team today but I'll avoid betting. And they went 8-8 after all that too, taking down the Saints and Pats along the way (and at the time, won in Atlanta which began the Falcons implosion and where no one beat Matty Ice).

Jets 19
Raiders 14
To the jets backers who laid the points: my only consolation is this was a 'right side wrong result'.
Look at the stats:
Raiders 158 yards
Jets 402 yards
Jets time of possession 35 min
Raiders 25 minutes
Jets 2 turnovers
Jets 100+ yards of penalties.
Worst of all, they fail on the 2 pt conversion to stretch the lead to 14 opening the door for a screw job loss or push with a last second Raider TD.
It is why I don't trust this team laying points, even against the woeful Raiders.

Idiots. When they went for 2 to stretch the lead to 14, ya had to know they'd go into their prevent D and give up the late score.
Don't forget Geno also got sacked for a 10 yard loss taking the Jets out of FG range the drive before (which would have made the lead less comfortable 9 and likely preventing the Jets from going into a prevent defense that have up the screwjob TD).

Scal I took some absolute world-beaters this weekend....First was I grabbed at the beg of game Michigan State +16.5 on a live bet. Michigan went on a great run after that, was up I think 12, and then game completely fell apart but to make it worse, Oregon was kicking a fg at the end of the game that still would have kept me under the number and then guy went offside, creating a 4th and shorter distance, so oregon decided to run it-instead and of course ran for a touchdown to put me outside of the number.....Then i had Seattle over 5 runs against Texas last night...they had 4 in the top of the 9th, 3 men on, 1 out, and of course hit into a double play to end the game (not terrible, but still sucked)...Had astros over A's last night and As score 3 in the bottom of the 9th inning (hedged a little on As before bottom half of ninth but still lost over half of bet)....I took Denver -8, but more importantly also had a few prop bets on denver anywhere from 13-29 winning buy and then they blow the entire 2nd half of course and where they really went wrong was not getting the onside kick. If it wasn't for my Bills beating the Bears this weekend, it was terrible betting standput though. Some times the gambling gods love to really push me as much as possible...I've had worse losses individually but as a whole, All 4 of my bets come down to the end and completely screw me over

I can't bet against Oregon like that in-game or otherwise. No lead is ever safe. And forget baseball O/U's. I can't tell you the number of bad beat stories I've heard and yours add to the list.
