Question...if spread is not that important why would you not just take the ML on the Lions AND GB -7 (or 6)
If GB covers you win more than you lose, if Lions win you are close to breaking even?
Small example...but think about it on a bigger scale

I said it rarely comes into play............the spread comes in at 14% meaning, the team that win SU also covers the spread at a 86% clip.........a spread above 7 points should be considered when betting the dog. It only comes into play 14% of the time but what it also does is makes us warm & fuzzy inside knowing we have those points.
I understand what you're trying to say above with the example since the spread rarely comes into play but the bettors will never take a chance like you've posted above, the risk vs reward isnt there.

DALLAS -7 they should of lost to WAS and couldnt cover against SEA. MIAMI defense will keep that game close.
You would be better off paying someone half your bet to kick you in the balls.....you will end up with more money in your pocket
