So you are one of those people that does not think that things change over a 6 week period? We should just add the 3 points for homefield compared to their first meeting and make the packers -10 and not even think about it?  Who covered in their first meeting?  It's ridiculous to just use a line from 6 weeks ago, especially when the team you are trying to make an arguement for didn't even cover in that case.

Unless there's a MAJOR change in personnel, there is no chance in hell that a line should move much more than five points in six weeks, which is what this line has done. To then call that line a trap because it's way too many points is absurd. You think the difference between the Giants and Packers has moved, what, ten points in six weeks? Stop being ridiculous. I think the line is right on where it is, which is huge movement in favor of the Giants.

If the Giants at home only lost by 3 to the Pack afew weeks ago.

The main question is what is the difference between the status of the two teams between then and now? (I'm talking mainly injuries here)

Also I'm pretty sure the Giants are a better road team than they are at home from what we learned in the reg season so the fact they are playing on the road shouldn't be as much of factor for them right?

I believe actually the giants front 7 is healthier than its been all year and that is a major factor. Those guys up front paying at full strength is a major difference and I think we saw that in the ATL game when the falcons couldn't muster up 1 single offensive score.

Packers are still the hunters, not the hunted mcCarthy says, either way, alot of ppl on Giants wagon, and just forget the record breaking stats Pack had this year,,,The best team will win, and grabbed Pack at -9, IMO public gonna be on Giants, McCarthy also wanted home field through playoffs for reason........undefeated at home, wont be surprised Pack put on a show....just sayin, and team healthy and everyone playing, even O line......ppls first mistake underestimating the packers, BOL to all PAckers are my pick ......and for more momentum, win it for Philbin!! Packers well prepared team!

Yes, they lost by only 3....but If the Pack make a 4th down stop on the last drive its a 8 point win and a cover on the road...

It was a 3 point final, but the Packers did whatever they wanted in that game, without a running back...

People keep saying the giants are finally healthy, well, this is also the first week the Packers OLine and defense will also be healthy...

It comes down to this

Rodgers- 502 pass attempts   sacked 36 times

Manning-  589 pass attempts sacked 28 times

Giants D- 48 sacks

Packers D-  29 sacks

Packers pass rush has been god awful despite playing with the lead the entire season.  Thats not gonna cut it agaisnt Eli.  The Giants D finally has Tuck and Osi healthy.  Chad Clifton in his 2nd game back off a major back injury is not gonna be able to deal with JPP and Osi.  Giants win straight up.

If I'm not mistaken, the Giants played the Pats well in the last regular season game back in 2007 and then beat them in the superbowl, what's the difference here?

I love the G-men in this game.  Defense these days is all about pass rush not coverage.  Look @ teams w/ supposedly great corners this year - NY Jets, Philly, etc.  Neither even sniffed the playoffs.

The best defenses all have a ferocious pass rush - Steelers, Ravens, Niners and ... Giants.

The Packers don't have the pressure of going 19-0.

Wait, so the Giants won because NE had the pressure of going 19-0?

All I'm saying is the Giants played the Packers well, it took a late drive by GB to win the game. We played the Pats tough as well a few years back then beat them in the bowl, I just can't comprehend why people will think the Giants are going to get blown out

The giants were down 8 with under 1 minute left...

If the Packers stop them they covered that game...
