Man....I'm just fuckin' with ya....I have much respect for you, too, that's why I'm always reading your threads. I like the Jets O line, especially against a San Diego D line that hasn't had much success with any type of rush this year. I can't answer the Jets woes with their anemic offensive rushing last week against the Pats.....that concerns me a bit. But, I think the Jets game against the Pats has already been factored in with the line of 8.5. In fact, with the Miami win on Sunday, the pub might push this 8.5 back up to 9 or so by kickoff. I think with the Jets O line containing the the line of scrimmage, Favre can do a little bit on his own to make the Chargers secondary vulnerable......but that sob is also good for two or three INT's a game so that is concerning as well. LT's toe is fucked up so will he be able to make his cutbacks? You have Sproles as a backup so maybe he will be the ace in the hole for SD backers. People argue that SD needs this game more......I don't agree since this is the 3rd game of the season and all wins are critical at this point. Even if SD loses to the Jets, they play in a soft division with the Raiders and Chiefs, wins in their division are forseen down the road. The Jets don't have a great rushing defense so some will argue that this would be a great reason to take SD.....good point but the Jets have the ability to shut down the passing game. I guess I'm not really arguing who wins the game, I just don't see the Jets getting rolled on as I think they can put points on the board and I'm getting 8.5 as well. Carolina wouldn't be considered an strong offensive team and look what they did without Steve Smith. Regardless, BOL with the NCAA bud, I'll be looking for you.

Im with you on the Jets not winning more than 7 games but i really think they will cover this game. I also agree that Favre is overated but hopefully they can cover this spread.
