Yes that Falcon team. The one who took Pitt into OT in their house. Didn't say Pitt was bad. They're great. But I think Rodgers could have a similar day to what he did in Atl in this indoor setting.

lookingtowin ----

I am with you on the outcome, as I believe this is another "false-favorite" line that Vegas is forced to throw out there every so often due to public perception; PITT +ANY amount of points sure feels like a gift, and I'm in the 'taking' mood. However, I'm not too certain about the OVER coming in frankly, the Steel Curtain can be Uber-dominant when motivated, and just imagine if they are able to knock ARodg outta the game early? Rodgers is prone to concussions after all... Both defenses are damn good at any rate, PITT is gonna run the HELL outta the ball in an effort to both shorten the game and play keep-away from ARodg and co, so I'm leaning Under 45 currently...

ozzwald ---

GREAT point on vegas getting it wrong last year with their INDY-5 line for the Bowl, it's all about public perception. Much has been made regarding ARodg playing perhaps his BEST game as a professional @ ATL, and their win @ CHI was impressive, it showed that a good D can contain Rodgers and the Packer offense. Well, PITT has the BEST D in the game, so I am slow to doubt their ability to do an even better job than Chicago did in the NFC championship... could be one for the ages frankly...

Heres a fact the people in here and outside are blind and think one sided for the bowl !

This will open YOUR eyes !

adding this tid bit also  people are so blind to Packers final 6 games of year !

@ atl lost   17-20

Vs the big bad NFC west 49ers  wheeeeeeeeeeeee

they won 34 -16

@ Detroit - 6.5 if that spread didnt jump off the page and smack u in the face then nothing ever will they were 9.5 favorite at home vs a losisng team just as bad detroit was

now on the road and 3 points less or was it loower and went up to 6.5

WELL we all know the story of that game Packers scored a BIG fat 3 points and lions won 7-3  !

OK so Rodgers got knocked out ! YOU mean to tell me the packers super offense couldnt even get two more FG's INDOORS in a DOME to win over one of theeeee worst teams every in NFL history ?

and OF course as a BIG underdog at Patriots the fraud #1  seed of AFC  lost by 4 points  That was two times packers lost Two games in a row

they lost at Redskins then came home and lost TO miami !

after Patriots  home vs THE giants who doubled up GB's TO total to 10  they only had +5 TO's for 15 weeks

then on thier fucking Knees  week 17 for 3 and 3/4 sqeak out a 10 - 3 win over the bears as a what 9 1/2 point favorite ?

Steelers had play off spot wrapped up week 14  and seeding # 2 week 16  before packers even qualified

DID steelers ever lose TWO games in a ROW ?

NOPE !  DID steelers have tougher schedule ?

YES ! twice they had to face teams who got owned by the browns week before @ the Saints and VS Patriots at home

PUT Packers on steelers 3 road games

@ miami  .Packers lost to them at home !

@ sanits  Packers would Lose that game also

@ Bengals  might win !

when steel bangs UP against Cheese what do YOU think will happen ?

i know it's goofy comparison BUT Steel is stronger Than Cheese

Black and Gold more dominant Colors Than Green and Yellow or Green and Gold !

25 players on steelers and Coaches wear multiple rings WINNERS

two players on Packers have been to superbowls BOTH lost blow outs ;another was on steelers two years ago Practice squad KUHN

they gave HIM a ring even tho he didnt Play any games with them !

Packers alst suoer bowl win was in what ? 1996  !

Steelers same team same time as two years ago  and wearing thier white JERSEYS vs cardinals

When BIG Ben Hit Holmes for final TD to win !

Cardinals if they had real defense could have won that game with that freaking offense they had !

THIS ALL ADDS UP TO STEELERS +3.    The team that can hit the hardest usually wins these Super Bowls and that would be the drum roll please THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS.

It doesn't make a difference if Pittsburgh stops the run or not against the Packers.  Its the attempt that makes the difference.  Running is just to keep the defense honest and keeps Pittsburgh from putting more defensive backs in the game. Yard or no yards.

Correction.  "Vegas" does not predict who will win Super Bowls.  The line/spread is not a prediction of the score, in any way.  It never has been and never will be.  The line is simply a number to help divide opinion into two, so that an equal amount of money is bet on both sides.

Last year's line was fine.  It divided action equally, between the Colts and the Saints.  "Vegas" never said the Colts would win.

This year's line is, of course, also not a prediction.  "Vegas" is not predicting Green Bay to win.  If they have an equal amount of money on each side, they could not care less who wins.  They will earn their commission regardless.

If you are not gaining any yards time after time you have to go to the air and then comes Pittsburgh's pash rush and blitzes from everywhere and DIck Lebeau will have more schemes than Carters has little liver pills.  Games only two days away you will see soon.

Great retort lookingtowin... Plus --- if GB consistently finds themselves in 2nd or 3rd & long due to PITT effectively stopping the run, the Steelers will employ a multitude of Blitzing schemes, & at a minimum forcing ARodg out of the pocket, possibly forcing him to throw it away, or at worst, Sackajawea... now, screens or dump-offs over the middle to a "soft-spot" may work some of the time due to GB's spread offense, but ALL of the Steeler linebackers are awfully athletic and are great at "wrapping-up" should ARodg find somebody over the blitz... and then there's this roaming safety named Polamalu who sniffs these things out like a bloodhound and has the hands of a TE when he gets near an errant pass or tipped football... I have learned not to bet against Dick LeBeau and his defense in games of this magnitude, and ESPECIALLY against one-dimensional offenses like the Green Bay's'! Ike, Clark, and McFadden are not the cover corners that Green Bay has, but they are all good tacklers and they have decent speed and likely won't give up the "big" play when GB needs it most imo. Remember, think "bend-but-don't-break"...

If they ever made N.O favorite last year and they won the game like they did EVERYONE WOULD HAVE SAID IT WAS FIXED!!!!!!!  In this case making Green Bay a 2.5 point favorite kind of makes you wonder hunh? Pitt a #2 seed in the SUPERRIOR AFC getting points agianst Green Bay #6 seed from the SUPPOSIVE TERRIBLE NFC.

GREEN BAY WINS BY 10 OR MORE!!!!!!!!!!

If you look at Pittsburgh's schedule you will see that they rarely play against any of the elite QBs.  This year they played Brady and Breese and both of those guys had over 300 yards passing and the Steelers lost both games.  Last year Rodgers had over 300 yards passing against them and 3 TD passes.  This Steeler defense has not had much success against the better QB's it has faced over the last 2 years and I suspect the Super Bowl will be more of the same.

Hmmm, good points bigtrip, but I'm not sure if ARodg is quite there yet with the likes of the two you mentioned, Brady or Brees (or Peyton for that matter), all Super Bowl champions, Tom with 3, as everyone knows. Even if Rodgers manages to emerge victorious, it will depend on how he plays against Pittsburgh on Sunday to know just how far he's coming along, I think he's only going to get better, but this particular SB might be a proverbial "bump" in the road that ultimately makes Rodgers the best he can be, maybe the best in the Biz in a year or two... but this year the Steelers just won't be denied imo, the Pack and ARodg is the sexier pick, but I believe that it's a loser ultimately. We'll see...

G.B Strength of schedule for 2010 was 22. Pitt's strength of schedule was 7. I'll take the D and the points for $1000 and the over for $700! This game gets ugly in the 2nd half as Harrison butt fuck's Rodgers(and of course gets fined) on the 50 yd line!!

i don't see how the line can be so high against a team that has won 2 superbowls before. maybe odds makers have learned a lesson from the pats vs giants SB but +3 is enough for me to bite on the steelers.
