DK NFL Midseason Rankings

1. Eagles

Not many will put them as their #1 team because they aren't the flashiest team. Hurts and the offense won't put up gaudy numbers but Eagles have the most grit in the league and keep finding ways to win games. SOS and SOV is at .500 each which is high from beating Rams, proves that they are still the champs. Are they the most dominant #1 ranked team? No, it shows they can be beaten by the likes of the Giants but their SOS gives them the edge over the other 2 loss teams like Seahawks and Colts who seem to be on a lot of top 10 rankings. If Packers beat the Eagles tonight it could finally give me reason to drop them down to #2. 

2. Rams

Rams are relevant again. Honestly, this team could be 8-0 right now if it weren't for a fluky blocked punt and 4th and 1 stuff in OT. Offensively and defensively, they are humming. Matt Stafford is having an MVP like season. 25 TDs to 2 INTs that is unbelievable might be on pace to also break his own passing yards record. I still don't get all the Colts love and maybe Seahawks love. Really good game coming up Seahawks vs Rams.. if Rams win next week they may very well be the #1 team in the NFL. Based on the SOS they've played they are right there with the Eagles. Special teams might be the Rams only weakness. 

3. Packers 

Close one between Packers and Lions for the 3rd spot but I give the slight edge to Packers due to beating Lions earlier in the season. They have a chance to reaffirm their position tonight with a win. Packers have shown flashes of being a potentially good team, but haven't had much opportunity to prove it with a relatively week schedule thus far. Then there are the puzzling losses to the likes of Browns and Panthers that keep Packers from being elite status. They remind me of an Eagles lite they don't win with style points but just not as clutch as the Eagles.

4. Lions

Lions offense is still great when everything is clicking. When they had the opportunity to play against the good teams they have fallen short but will feast against the weaker teams. I would rate the Lions higher but losses to Green Bay, KC and Minny have set them back from being top 3. They played a tougher SOS than the Packers so far but they should be winning some of those tough games. 

5. Chiefs 

Seems kind of crazy to list the Chiefs at #5 with a 5-4 record ahead of the Colts or Patriots and even the Chargers or Bills team that beat them, but they played a tough schedule so far. Despite mixed results they are still the Chiefs and is still the team to beat in the AFC. Last season they had a down year offensively, but they are in better shape this season with still a good defense. I would not count out the Chiefs yet even though they are currently not seeded. 

The well-rounded Seattle Seahawks must  be in the top five hahaha 

I agree , Packers have not impressed anyone this year plus they have injuries

Tried to write up something but got erased so not gonna bother retyping. I can also note that the separation between #1 to #5 or from #5 to #10 is marginal. I may have Eagles as the #1 team in principal but I feel like Rams are the best team in the league right now

They've finally cracked my top 10 , they are making some noise now for sure but I feel like they need a signature win and they will have that chance against the Rams this week. If they had beaten the Bucs they might have rated higher

Point differential definitely shouldn't be ignored and can be a good potential indicator of team strength yet also another piece of the puzzle.

My rankings are also heavily influenced by SOS and partly H2H respective to teams on the list. Only reason why I have Bucs above the Seahawks even though they aren't dominating in the point differential category because they've played some tough opponents

I don't have this list down to a science but I feel it's more realistic to say in perspective Colts or Patriots may have a really good record and kicking ass in point differential but who have they really played? Are they proven? Rams on the other hand are different they're playing a decently tough schedule yet are top 3 in pt diff. this is a sign of a really good team. 

They are borderline top 10 might overtake Bills soon if they keep this up 

Stopped reading after Seahawks not in top 5, let alone top 3

Steelers  don't belong in the top ten but the Ravens do. Seattle should be higher...

Explain to me why you like the Seahawks and are a believer of Sam Darnold. I like to hear your perspective

Flawed teams but they have gutted out some key wins. I'll have to wait until they play the Steelers bc playing the Bengals, Jets etc doesn't move the needle for me, beating the Vikings on the road did move them up a bit they're Top 15 at the moment for me.

If Seahawks beat the Rams next week then most definitely 

Agree with people saying Seahawks should be there. I would for sure have them above Green Bay. You can not believe in Sam Darnold and still have them there purely on how amazing that defense is. 

The Bucs and Steelers do not belong in my opinion. I have Colts and Broncos rated higher than them. I rank Houston and Baltimore and New England ahead of Pitt and Tampa too.
