Looking at their record this year, the Browns have lost big to many of the better teams but they also gave the Saints fits @ New Orleans (lost 21-18) and they beat the Ravens @ home in OT in early October before the switch to Lamar at QB.

I also feel that interim Head Coach Greg Williams will sell out to stopping the run and try to force Lamar to the air. I expect him to present a game plan extraordinaire as a win here would almost surely win him the Head Coaching job. I get the feeling that Greg Williams is respected and liked by this team and that they will give a supreme effort in order to position him for the permanent job (IMO).

The Cleveland D is better than people think, if we go by points given up they are about in the middle. If we look at the D rankings they are at 29th but for me the true barometer is points allowed. They have given up 24.4 points a game and 23 allowed is in the middle.

The Browns do have some playmakers on D...Jabrill Peppers, Myles Garrett, and Joe Shobert...not sure if the one corner Denzel Ward will play or not (shoulder injury)...

The Browns have a definite edge in turnover differential: +9 compared to Baltimore's lack luster -5.

Cleveland has a run offense of their own and have a better YPR 4.64 to Baltimore's 4.29. Baltimore ranks 3rd in rushing yards allowed per game but the Browns ran for 112 in their first meeting but that was before Chubb took over from Carlos Hyde. Chubb is closing in on a thousand yard season and is a real threat to break it anytime he touches the ball.

This will be a fun game to watch. A lot riding for Baltimore but then again, the Browns are on a roll and if they win, they will have a winning season and I don't expect them to lay down in this one.

I like Cleveland + the points.

i don't disagree with anything you've said as most of the stats you mentioned are correct but, only if we're looking at performance for an entire season. which is not really reflective of how these teams are playing right now. what happened in September is irrelevant to what is happening in December.

while i personally think the Browns do have some playmakers on the defensive side of the ball, i think the turnover differential numbers are a bit inflated. all those takeaways the Browns had were at the beginning of the season against some turnover prone teams(they had 6 takeaways alone against Pitt in week 1) you can see through each quarter of the season the takeaways became less and less. not that it makes any difference to their overall ability of winning or not winning i suppose.. they still lost those games where they won the turnover battle and probably should have won the game outright and there are games where they didn't have that many takeaways but still won the game. there's no denying the Browns defense has toughened up a bit more since Gregg Williams took over

both teams will want to win for their own reasons so i do not expect the Browns to be any less motivated than the Ravens will be. both teams will go at it hard. Browns could still play hard and can or can not cover the number, same could go for Ravens. we have to carefully consider and be selective on what stats will be relevant, and consider the opponents they played and situation they were in.

personally there are two recent games i'm looking at right now on the Browns schedule that i want to compare and see if i can find any thing of interest that could be relevant for this game.
