DENVER IN VERY TOUGH SPOT THIS WEEK

Denver&#x27;s wheels look like their coming off. They cant score against a good defense. Washington is a good defense. Short week....east coast travel..i think the line is just right for a sucker to bet Denver this week. Yes Denver is a better team but there are multiple ingredients all coming together that will make this a tough game for Denver to pull out. A. Short week off of a Monday night gameB. Betts is not a big drop off from PortisC . East coast trip from the west coastD. Washington has top pass defenseE. Poor running game for Denver with a rookie backF. Washington due for a winG. Orton CANT THROW DEEP....cant stretch defenseH. Washington plays better at home then on road as evidence of their home /away recordI know Washington&#x27;s offense is suspect but they might pull out all the stops for this game. Trick plays etc. ....Key to this game is going to be third down conversions..Denver very good at shutting teams down on third down if you exclude Monday night. Good thing for Denver is Brian Dawkins and Buckhalter are familiar with the Redskins....and might play well against former division rival. All in all..this is a TOUGH TOUGH game for Denver.

Just joined this site, but I&#x27;ve been reading stuff on here for a long time.... Love Denver today... Portis and Cooley are out... huge veteran players, and the whole Hall situation from last week with Atlanta... Zorn is still pissed about not being able to call plays.... Denver might lose this game, because it is on the road, majority of the time, Denver will get the job done here....

That line is completely and utterly ridiculous IMO.  Denver should destroy them.  Washington has given up this year.  You can see it in their eyes.

well jason, since i can&#x27;t get my 37 seconds back wasted when i clicked on your thread, i&#x27;ve made a few comments on some of your points&#xD;&#xA;B. Betts is not a big drop off from Portis - Campbell has MORE rushing attempts/yards than Betts, probably from QB pressure and 25 sacks&#xD;&#xA;C . East coast trip from the west coast - who is coming from the west coast ?&#xD;&#xA;F. Washington due for a win -  the old " they&#x27;re due " theory&#xD;&#xA;G. Orton CANT THROW DEEP....cant stretch defense - Orton has hit 4 different recievers at 49, 51, 52 and 87 yards&#xD;&#xA;H. Washington plays better at home then on road as evidence of their home /away record&#xD;&#xA;Washington has beaten Stl and TB @ home &#xD;&#xA;Denver by 7&#xD;&#xA;Campbell gets sacked 4&#x2B; times ( run Jason run )

Washington has dropped 9 of last 10 ATS in Fed Ex Field.  Definitely not better at home.

D. Washington has top pass defense.&#xD;&#xA;Starting SS Chris Horton has just ben placed on IR after leading the &#x27;Skins in tackles against Atlanta and his backup Reed Doughty. has a banged up knee.Meanwhile starting FS LaRon Landry has played horrible of late,and at CB do any of these names,Carlos Rogers,DeAngelo Hall,Fred Smoot,or Justin Tryon inspire fear in any team&#x27;s offense?and of the 7 above mentioned DBs,only DeAngelo Hall has an interception (3),and he gives up at least one or two big plays a game.&#xD;&#xA;H. Washington plays better at home then on road as evidence of their home /away record.&#xD;&#xA;Washington is avering only 12.0 points per game at home and they could only manage 6 against the Chiefs in a 14-6 home loss three games ago.&#xD;&#xA;Has anyone considered the fact that Levi Jones will be making his first start on THE WORST offensive line in the N.F.L.and his assignment will be stopping Elvis Dumerville from decapitating Jason Campbell (who has a bad ankle).
