As a Denver Broncos fan, the smart play is Baltimore at -7.
Denver hasn't won in Baltimore in over 10
years. The Ravens have the number one pass defense and they get
pressure on the QB. The Broncos O-Line is good (not great), but they are going
to get crushed by Baltimore's front 7. I think McDaniels is smart enough to draw up a great
game plan for the #1 pass offense in the NFL, but I don't see it being
executed too well against a dominate pass rush. Back to back games on
the east coast. This one seems to be even tougher on the Broncos than
last week. The Broncos barely squeezed by last week.

I should have taken Baltimore. Just blind to this game. As I watch Denver implode, I wonder about coach McDaniels' decision to snuff the running game. Bill Romanowski was on the radio yesterday. Before he plugged his "Nutrition 53" product. he was asked to evaluate The Denver Broncos. He compared their strategy to New England and Indianapolis - two other team that, in his view, essentially scrapped their running game to focus on a pass for 4 yards type of attack. He's right. We've gone to leading the league in rushing year after year to having the lowest ranking in the league. If McDaniels is deliberately modeling us after Indy and New England, he may want to consider the talent difference at QB. Orton has impressed me. Heck, he's impressed everybody. I'm now an Orton fan. But even though I'm in the Orton fan club, I'm smart enough to recognize that Orton will never be Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. I also question how good a defense can be at stopping the run when their part of a team that ignores the run on offense? Romanowski talked about how a running attack wears down the defense of the other team. He's right. I wonder why McDaniels doesn't get these football basics.
In my view, we have the worst coach in the league.
