because bettors think because public is heavy on one side that public backed teams will lose because too many people on that team and vegas/nfl will make sure public doesn't win. too much $ on the line.

I tend to disagree with bills. At least that's not why I look at consensus picks.

I like to see what the public perception of a game is, because if the majority is on one side of a line it's usually because they are missing something, or overvaluing a team. There are certain situations that come into play that the "public" doesn't take into account. The oddsmakers know what they're doing, and they are not in the business of giving away money.

I never use any of the websites for consensus figures that some people here use. I just don't trust them. The best way to find if people are heavy on one side is to look through covers threads.

Pick the games you like and go on about your business...for every team that has 75% of the public on them wins...one will lose...so basically you just have to pick your spots

Line movement on the side wagers of the game is 136-91 ATS, meaning, if you bet with the line movement in the NFL on the team, not the total, you would be 136-91 ATS on the closing line............last week, 2-1 ATS...........

Gotta find out what book these line movements were posted about...........to see what the plays are this week......if I find which book it is, I will post the plays on the line movement..........

[/Quote]Pinnacle has had Pats and Ravens hold steady at their original opener.  No movement there. Gmen came down to &#x2B;8 from &#x2B;9 and Saints went -3.5 from 3.  These are Pinnacles numbers only, Vegas lines are different.

You may see higher percentages on the Saints but check your numbers on SF money line....Don&#x27;t know where you are getting the Ravens as a public play. Numbers have been with the Texans since that line opened.
