    Thx Melo.

This one isn't spooky or surreal. It's just a bad line and 36.5 or 38 is positively outrageous.

I will say this, the first three months of the season will be an adjustment period for the triangle offense being implemented. But in the end, they will win > 40.

The problem is not the triangle but the garbage players that are running it.  Knicks have $89.5 mil in committed salaries this year.  In 2015-16 that number drops to approx $41 mil.  Phil will unload the trash after this year and actually build a team that can better run his system.

    A loss is a loss.

I don't count units like many here so add it to the loss total. 1 loss added! WOW!

Took the celtics to win it all in 2008 at 4-1 so  in terms of posted futures  I'm more than profitable.

It was a risk. I was fully aware they were instituting the triangle offense.

It's imploded worse than ANYONE imagined.

If anything Vegas should be just as embarrassed for setting a win total that high (and even they couldn't have imagined it would get this bad).

Now let's see that Cavs future hit!!! (Keep waiting)

Honestly never saw Phil Jacksom being associated with one of the worst teams in the league. He is and will be for years to come.

    Knicks O/U 40.5

If you want to bet one total in the NBA this year, bet the Knicks OVER 40.5.

Don't wait because it will go up to 40.5, possibly 41 and even 42.

At 40.5, it will GO OVER.

I can easily see the Knicks improving by 7/8 games compared to last year's 37 wins to finish anywhere between 43-45 wins and land an 8/7 spot in the playoffs where the balance of power is so incredibly top heavy it will leave tons of room for the Knicks to take games from the teams that were playoff teams last year and are now clearly worse: Nets/Pacers/Heat/Hawks(and their issues/distractions).

Even at that, I can assure you the Knicks will not get swept by the Cavs or the Bulls so add more wins for those teams.

Afraid of the new coach? Don't be. He's a conduit to one of the greatest ever in Phil Jackson.

Afraid of the Triangle offense being instituted? Yes, they will suffer their bumps and bruises but I promise you they will be better defensively (much better) which will offset the losses due to the new offense.

Afraid of bonehead JR. Don't be. His bullsh** won'[t be tolerated under the Fisher/Jackson coach/de facto coaching model.

Afraid of the roster changes? They kept the ONE guy that mattered and is the pulse of this team in Melo. He can score in truckloads and that is very important when you back a team like the Knicks.

Felton and Chandler leaving? That is addition by subtraction when it comes to these dogs.

This will NOT be a season of failure and last year's 37 wins was among the most miserable in franchise history given the expectations.

The expectation this year is the playoffs and although 40 wins will get you in, you will squeak in on the last days. That will not be the Knicks blueprint this year.

Therefore, the 40 wins will be exceeded and if they are, you win with the over. This is a very poor line. A challenging line would be 43/43.5 but not 40.5. Bad for them. Good for us.

Get it while it's hot because the total will rise.

    The pick:

    KNICKS OVER 40.5 wins

Seeing how you found it cute and funny to ridicule CG through his trying times in LV, I hope u realize your not that far behind. As you can see, (as with most of your articles) writing novels does not and will not  increase the odds of being on the right side. Nothing but opinionated dribble and absolutely no common sense applied.  Cute and humorous, but again no substance. Definite person who talks a lot but says nothing. All this chest pounding and bravado talk in this thread and it got you, where? Insight my a$$!!! And I say this cause you enjoy it so much doing it to others. Hows it feel, loser.

This thread is a good reminder that trying to predict the future with any kind of specificity is almost sure to make you look clueless eventually (even if you're not). That's why it's so much better to post a pick, count your record and leave it at that. At least that way, you will only be wrong a maximum of once per pick, instead of, well... yeah.

    Lol.

So carmelo is injured for half the season (and played through injury many games).

The knicks then shut it down and give away not one, but starters in JR, Shumpert and amare to boot. Numerous other injuires I need not list here.

And then you add to that what is essentially a lost season given all their players are gone, the knicks compounded it by furiously tanking in the second half on many a night.

And then you look at the end result and say, "WOW! This guy was WAY off! He stinks!"

Yes, yes, that is a perfect way to assess a bet over the long term. I WOULDN'T have hit it, but their record would not have been what it was either. PEOPLE LOSE BETS IDIOT. Do you think everyone hits every single bet? Lol.

I posted this almost SEVEN MONTHS ago. If you need to bump a loss from 7 months ago and think it bothers me, you are a fool. And you've continually proven youself as such night in night , most recently in BB's thread that GS will beat Memphis in the series (saying he already lost that bet when they were only down 2-1). And you are scum along with BWS who I have to skewer in GD for his unabashed bigotry (a despicable human being and I use those last two words lightly) and what is borderline hatred of blacks (proof is in the pudding, just go see what he writes).

Forget the Rangers +150 bet I just hit in the hockey forum when they were down 2-1 in the series. Do you even know how long it's been since I lost a bet??? No. That would be almost four months ago. And That's irrelevant. Bets from 7 months ago? Boy! Those are the ones to dig out.

Fade, you are the biggest fool in any forum. And BWS, well your posts speak for themselves and because I skewer them in GD you bump this like it's supposed to bother me. You are a racist lowlife.

And ROI, please run along kid. You don't even have the authority to address me or anyone else on season win total bets, which you clealry have no understanding of...well...yeah...as you say.

Uh idiot, no one is 'rationalizing the loss'.

I said it WOULDN'T have won REGARDLESS.

A raging bigot in BWS (who deplores anything and everything black male or culture) bumped this thread because I rip on him in GD. That's the first problem.

Fade? Well he's just an idiot...

These are season long bets and sometimes when they miss by a mile something catastrophic happens.

The knicks literally gave away 2 starters and an occassional 3rd starter as well. And before that they had their star battle injury and then shut it down. To look at their record and say "this guy doesn't know a thing" makes you the fool, not me. It would have been better. Not hitting the over but nowhere near as bad.

So run along or read the post. Your choice.

And it's a loss! I can't lose? Who even cares what the margin of loss or victory is with posters like you. L is L and W is W because that's all you care about. If I only posted wins I wouldn't have a real job, this would be my job.

To try to bump this thread and shame me when I literally am one of only a handful of guy's on here who posts his pick with researched and thoughtful write-up, win or lose, makes you and you ilk the fool in the end, not me.

You wanted a forum without LC? You got it. He's not here precisely because of the BWS's the fades, the rodwomans, the golfings etc...And you think everyone is better off for that??? Lol.

    Keep it up.

Those are the ones to dig out.Fade, you are the biggest fool in any forum.
    Rationalize your loss more, please.

Lol.

    Keep it up.
