I believe 4 seed in the East is the sweet spot as it avoids 2/3 seeds and gets likely a favorable 1st round match up w home court then most likely gets Pistons who are somewhat vulnerable w/out Cade And Stewart. Also avoids Celtics or Knicks or whoever ends up in 2 and 3.
If the premise is correct then tonight is a good spot for Knicks to take an L at home at big Pels dog money as Cavs “should” get the W at home. That’d bring Knicks a game closer to 4 spot.
am I nuts?

it's a good speculative scenario you posted here, but teams would view Pistons a legit top spot in the east w/out Cade And Stewart. In their last game against LA for example, they proved that they can win consistently with defense and protect home court advantage.
