Maybe I'm not well acquainted with the second or third string Atlanta Hawks, but I just never thought that they are a very deep team… Sure as heck not deep enough to take on a pretty good Miami Heat team and cover 6 1/2 points while the heat need this win , at home and apparently won't be resting starters? Scenes almost too good to be true… Any Atlanta Hawks guys here here to shed some light?

I think so too. I guess it has something to do with the line coming from Mia +6/6.5 (which was too high to start with in my opinion).
But given that CHA looks like getting a free pass by NY, something unexpected could happen and MIA could throw the towel pregame and also bench starters. That wouldnt look very much like Spoelstar and the Heat though, but maybe there is some insecurity about this in the line still...

Mia needs a win but they don't control their own destiny. If Cha up big at Nyk, they could throw in the towel.
As for ATL they are in control of who they want to play 1st round. If they want Cle, they will play to win. If they want Nyk, then just lose the game and could be the spread too.

The Hawks definitely match up better with the Knicks. They have nothing chance against Cleveland’s front court.
