Will Houston use their own death lineup?

Houston&#x27;s ace card is going ultra small with Eric Gordon on the court with CP3 &amp; Harden. They NEVER used a line up with these 3 in the regular season but they have used them sparingly in the playoffs with huge success.We have seen 3 variations of a 5 man lineup including these 3  players in the playoffs:Ariza, Capela, Gordon, Harden, Paul = 20 minutes, ORTG 122.5, DRTG = 87, Net Rating = 35.4Ariza, Gordon, Harden, Paul, Tucker = 12 minutes, ORTG 119, DRTG 107, Net Rating 11.9Capela, Gordon, Harden, Paul, Tucker = 9 minutes, ORTG 127, DRTG 107, Net Rating = 20.0They can also use Anderson &amp; Green in a rotation for more offense but both are defensive liabilities or LMAM for defense.GSW&#x27;s Death Line up in Playoffs last year = 65 minutes, ORTG 133, DRTG 100, Net Rating = 32.9This years Playoffs = 54 minutes, 127.5 ORTG, 86.6 DRTG, Net Rating 40.9

Houston doesn&#x27;t have a "Death Line-up". Eric Gordan and Trevor Ariza? PJ Tucker? The Death Line-up is about more than just shooting 3&#x27;s. It&#x27;s really about high basketball IQ and multiple guys that can run the offense. Of the 5 guys in the line-up, Klay is the only one who couldn&#x27;t run the point in this offense, followed by KD. And they&#x27;re arguably the two best scorer. Definitely two of the three best along with Steph. What makes this line-up so deadly is the fact that Draymond, Iguodala, KD, and Klay can all defend multiple positions. And when they force turnovers and get out on breaks, they can all run the offense. They are all high basketball IQ players. They all make the right move. Most teams get out on a break and kick it to a primary ball handler. Usually there are only on or two on the team. I haven&#x27;t watched Gordan, Ariza, and Tucker enough to know if they do this.

By death line up I am referring to size and versatility not shooting 3s.

You've said they don't have a death line up and then gone on to say you don't know enough so I'm not really sure what you're getting at.

Gordon, Ariza, Tucker, LMAM are all versatile wings who can defend multiple positions. Gordon is a very good ball handler.

Ariza, Gordon, Harden, Paul, Tucker in 10 minutes tonight = 125.2 ORTG, 95 DRTG, 30.2 net rating

That was their 2nd most utilised line up

Ariza, Capela, Harden, Paul, Tucker in 12 minutes = 114.5 ORTG, 133.6 DRTG, -19 net rating

Also in game one:

Capela, Gordon, Harden, Paul, Tucker in 6 minutes = 126.9 ORTG, 96.4 DRTG, +30.5 net rating

Let&#x27;s see PJ tucker do that again. He, nor Ariza, and to an extent Gordon, are not decision makers. They catch and shoot. Tucker had some drives. He is a versatile defender, as is Ariza. Gordon is not. Let&#x27;s see it again.

These 3 guys, Tucker Gordon Ariza, will have a very hard time replicating what they did in game 2. They&#x27;re all streaky, inconsistent players that happened to get hot at the same time. I&#x27;d be very surprised if they can do it again
