No. Heat have handled playing without him very well lately.
16-7 this year but better, won 11 of the last 12 without wade.
The spread here is another story.
If Melo was sitting and the heat were laying 11/11.5 i'd be more afraid of getting backdoored by the Knicks than with Melo playing and the Knicks getting 7.
But the Knicks are so thin roster wise, your hand is almost forced to play him.
And man did he cost them against a wizards team that did not play well...
It looks like he will cost them again. We will know in the first quarter and even them, it is the Heat in Miami in an early start time so there are several other things still in a favor of a Heat cover.

GL scal....I am on my standard early sunday play on the OVER here, with the simple theory that lots of the ballers live large on Saturday nights, and might be a little tired which usually means poor defense....
In this spot, it is even more likely since it's South Beach, so I like your Heat play also...bad spot for Knicks as they get a MIA team that will be focused after 2OT loss...

If Melo gets healthy by the playoffs (who knows, may even be healthier today for all we know), I completely agree the heat would want the Hawks.
Do the Heat want to go into the garden 1-1 or have to play a game there 2-1 3-2?
Not saying the Knicks would win that series. But they would be very competitive, grind away at the heat and the Nets (most likely) or the Bulls would be waiting for them assuming the seeding remain the same.
Bash the Knicks here and increase the chances of getting ATL, which they would pluck feather by feather, marinate and the dispatch right off to Boston Chicken. Spin that baby till golden brown in that cooker.
Get a side of mash and some creamed spinach while Lebron puts on his bib.
That Hawk...would be stuffed.
And you can increase the chances of getting that menu option today by dispatching the Knicks....just do it by more than 7.

He definitely was injured. Couldn't throw a cross court pass and was looking to pass late every time. Then he couldn't dribble through traffic.
